Apparently this is the gig that got him noticed in the UK:

Next week's enlightening discussion: Which cheese do you like?

I really like brie!

People who like brie are complete tools.

A bit of brie is ok, but I couldn't eat a whole wheel.

I used to like brie but then I really got into gouda and couldn't eat brie again.

I loved brie before everybody started eating it. Now I only eat edam.

etc

No but *Bob* has a point.

I only ever ate Mir?, but lets face it, everybody has eaten that and it makes me feel a bit ill, so i nibbled on some banksy, bute's a brizzle cunt obviously, so i make do with nibbling the corners of Rembrandts in Capability's gardens.

All shit I grant you, but you know, better than listening to girls aloud or the fall.

John Lennon .... Power to the People , Merry Christmas War Is Over ...

Paul Mc Cartney has written sonme beautiful tunes and still does ... and his solo stuff is far better than John Lennons' INMHO ....

"Maybe I'm Amazed" is one of the best songs ever written ( in my view )

It's not meant to be taken seriously *Bob*- it's all just a ploy to drag a thread up to the late 90's so Quids can nip in and score the century!

But, in the words of the Scandinavian maestros-

"Thankyou for the music, the song I'm singing,

Thanks for all the joy it's bringing,

Who could live without it, I ask in all honesteeeee,

What would life beeeeee..."

Salvador Dali liked the rolling stones, so there's cheese & music.

    • Thanks pinkeyes - not what we are looking for lunch on Sunday. Prob saved Eats Dulwich time too! umm not sure what to do about Love Dulwich - gather guys and staff that ran it no longer do— not impressed with bloke I spoke to and doubt it will be busy on Sun - would love to be proven wrong ….. just have a bad vibe but we will see. Never had a problem with Vietnamese place as been there many time - but not for six months - might just trot down on Sat and see if staff are still the same. Johnnies have new team as well! Gail’s closed - that is not a surprise as was going down hill when I last went. Well folks, can anyone suggest anywhere else? That offers more than a green or mixed salad for my vegetarian folk? Can be Asian or Thai as well - anyone been to the place on Half Moon Lane near Bookshop or has that changed hands as well.. Might just settle for pizza in West Dulwich along Rosendale Road unless they have changed chef and hands. Must be somewhere in East Dulwich that caters for the odd vegetarian - maybe not but find it amazing that nothing in East Dulwich.           What is the Italian like in the side road by East Dulwich Station? Think folk have mentioned it was good - no idea what it is called.
    • Yes, that was why I deleted my post! Only not in time, it seems! I realised I had mixed up two restaurants!
    • Oh, sorry, I thought they were taking over the old Barcelona site opposite the old Harvester?
