Hello,

New to the forum, looking to move to East Dulwich. I'm looking for a property,

have approx a million cash to spend (so don't need a mortgage) can anyone recommend where

i can find decent properites in this price range. Looking for a 4 maybe 5 bed detatched property.

Look forward to your hearing your views.

Cheers the Nigee.

Oih Enfield! Stop trying to revive your Loadsamoney character in the guise of 'the' Nigee.

I appreciate the muse is not so strong these days, but if you think you can recycle an eighties stereotype, ON HERE! NOW! THEN, MY SON YOU ARE SORELY MISTAKEN!

Anyway, tell Paul I send hugs.

Sorry you have got me confused with someone else, I am being serious.

I really want to move to ED and do have the amount mentioned to invest.

Sorry didn't mean to confuse anyone.

Any advice would really be very much appreciated.

But i do see the funny side of your posts.

Thanks Nigee.

i'm looking for 4/5 beds, one Kitchen, parking for 2 cars. I know you think i'm joking but i'm being serious.

it's good to see you all have a good sense of humour. I don't want to spend more than the amount specified as i don't want to take on any debt (mortgage)

Any serious suggestions would be very welcome.

Thanks.

Well, Nigee - I was roughly in the same boat as you a few years back, financially speaking.

I thought long and hard about it and - in the end - bought fourteen bedsits in Dawson's Heights, which I rent-out to Chinese students.

I spent the remainder on a new caravan, where I live with my Mother, in the car park of The Plough.

You are really a crazy bunch, listen i have the money, that's not an issue.

a million isn't that much these day's anyway, I can prove it,not that i should have to,

If anyone can give me the name of a good agent that would probably be enough for me to be getting on with.

This isn't a joke post i am 100% serious and have nothing to hide, so any serious suggestions are welomed.

Thanks Nigee

Woodwarde, Dovercourt - nearer the Village

Mostly semi, not detached.

But you're going to be hard pressed to find parking for two cars at that price.

South side of Mount Adon Park mostly have double garages at the road level, but they don't often come up for sale and some - I have heard - suffer from subsidence.

Quite a few at eastern end of Court Lane have plenty of parking off-road, but houses/properties not so nice in my view.

    • It’s a 4 year old on a bike do you really think he is going 15mph. Grown adults complaining about a child who probably isn’t able to string a few sentences together says a lot about the people in this forum. If this member was hit from behind the father was probably walking behind the bike so I don’t get the point of stretching out an overreaction from a child in Nursery bumping into you. Grow up Obviously a four year old should be cycling on the pavement.
    • Malumbu,  if none of us were there, does that mean that nobody should post anything on here unless they have witnesses from the EDF? Why would someone post something like this if it  wasn't true? This is not about whether children should or should not be cycling on the pavement. There are specific issues. a) the child was out of sight of the person supposed to be caring for him b) he appears to have been  either not looking where he was going or was out of control of the bike c) if he did see that he was about to hit someone  he apparently did not give them any kind of warning  d)  a person was unexpectedly hit from behind whilst just walking along, which in my view makes him a victim e) does the title of the thread really matter as the issue was described in the first post?  f) nobody is blaming the child, they are blaming the person who should have been watching him g) do you really think it was acceptable for that person to find the situation funny? The OP was not complaining about the 4 year old. They were complaining about an adult's lack of supervision of a 4 year old who was not capable of riding a bike and who hit someone from behind with no warning. Also, apart from reading the OP more carefully, perhaps also choose your words more carefully. Jobless? Lunatic? Charming.
    • Completely jobless and lunatic behaviour coming on a forum and complaining about a 4 year old and the child’s bike riding skills. Honestly grow up
    • I have to say, I too am upset about the passing of DulwichFox. He was a real local character, who unlike me, managed to stick with ED despite all of the nauseous yuppification of the last three decades. R.I.P to foxy    Louisa.
