bigbadwolf
Following David Carnell's rousing lambast of lager on the Peroni thread I thought I'd reward him and other's with a platform of their own. I myself am starting to lean towards Ale of late and I've been enjoying Bombardier Golden Burn recently.Any other real ale tw_ts out there? Brendan
Piddle in the Hole ABV 3.9%Copper-coloured and quite dry, with lots of hops and fruitiness throughout.Piddle in the Wind ABV 4.5%This drink has a superb mix of flavours. A nice hoppy nose through to a lasting aftertaste makes it a good all-round beer.Piddle in the Dark ABV 4.5%A rich ruby red bitter with a smooth flavour.Piddle in the Snow ABV 5.2%A dry, strong taste all the way through draws your attention to the balance between malt and hops in the brew. A glorious way to end an evenings drinking. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8148-real-ale/#findComment-251988 Share on other sites

silverfox
Tried brewing my own once with one of those kits from Boots that promises 15 gallons for the price of a pint in Liquorice. Dutifully followed instructions and placed the dozen or so bottles in the airing cupboard to ferment. Woken in the middle of the night to the sound of exploding bottles and shards of glass as big as a saracen's sword embedded in the cupboard door. Complete waste of time Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8148-real-ale/#findComment-251998 Share on other sites

Jah Lush
Wadworths 6X, Harveys Best, Fullers ESB, Youngs Special...ahh I could go on but we'd be here all day. A good place to go locally for real ale is Hoopers which usually has a three or four different ones every week. silverfox
Real ale should be served in a tankard or those old fashioned glasses with handles (no logos!) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8148-real-ale/#findComment-252090 Share on other sites
