I require a qwerty keyboard if I am to use a phone for email so I started off with the Curve. It was life changingly good. Then I moved on to the Storm, it was frightful and rubbish, so within a month, I moved onto the Bold, which I found was a delight.

However, right now, I want a new iPhone. The screen is terrific for the internet, you can see full size versions of e-commerce sites that you use on your desk-top, and the keyboard, although a screen, is the best I have seen yet. My darling man changes his phone more often than he walks our dog, and I am seething with jealousy regarding the speed of his phone internet, it is breath-takingly good. I have several work email addresses, and I need access to them all when I am out and about. The new iphone 3GS has the edge right now, by a long shot.

There are apps for everything you can imagine with the IPhone, from shopping on Ocado, to a spirit level. I WANT ONE...

recently back from a short trip to Canada where pretty much everyone has them, so they can all chat using some sort of instant messenger thingy. Means that they never check their messages so as a purveyor of a humble ring-or-text type device, I was outgunned and often not replied to... I thought they looked better than an iphone if you need to do anything proper on them due to the proper keyboard, but iphones seem to have more toys. "Business or pleasure" seems to be the question...

I like my blackberry curve 8900 - it's shiny shiny and smaller than those bold feckers. The newer curve may have a trackpad, but it's not the phone for me - more thoughts from someone more knowledgable here

Also, unlike fat-fingered iphone users, I don't litter my emails with typos.

    • I’m not sure how many other people have experienced this; but both me and one of my friends have the same story. Around Crawthew Grove and Crystal Palace Road: I was followed by a large fox right on my heel. At first I didn’t notice because I had my headphones on, but then I noticed my shadow had an extra lump in it, funnily enough, it was a fox, very very close to my feet. Even if I sped up walking it just tried to get closer - it was quite frightening actually, it was quite clear that it wanted to nip me. I didn’t know what to do so, I started to reprimand the fox and walked slowly away from it, facing it - which it didn’t seem to like and backed off a bit. I then proceeded to speed-walk away.   Quite frankly, the whole situation was quite embarrassing and a little bit frightful as I’d never had a fox even come up to me. I’ve heard of particularly curious foxes that might come up to someone who beckons them, and maybe even bite that person, but I’ve never heard of a fox chasing someone. The amount of confidence that it had was incredible.    When it happened, I was on the way to see some friends, and once I had told one of them, she told me the same thing happened to her.  if anyone else knows anything about this bitey fox then let me know!
    • Another recommendation for Andy. I needed an old kitchen removed as an emergency. Andy came over quickly and did a fantastic job. I have used Andy a few times. He is punctual, helpful and always does an  excellent job.
