Looks like the On the Ball thread has crashed with too many Football posts - or at least that seems the case since it wouldn't take my last few posts. I think we need to have Admin freeze the On the Ball thread and let battle discussion recommence..

So to start a new line of thought - will England having no real competitive matches for 9 months (since early qualification) have a detrimental effect on their World Cup? But more importantly will England warm up for World Cup with a string of meaningless fixtures against third rate teams to boost FA coffers - and trigger the media into brain washing the nation into JT returning from Africa with solid gold rather than the usual fool's gold?

Yup that's right Mick no fighting or Meeeowing!

Definate problem on old On the Ball thread - Anna posted last but it still had Jah as last poster on front page... this is exactly what happened with original Football Focus thread where after a time only certain posters (maybe based on browser whatnot) were having it updated

    • Callout for help from any local experts here. Looking to find out more about the history of the property on the corner of Whateley Road and Ulverscroft road (with the green glazed bricks). Now a residential property, i'm told it was a bottle shop in days gone (the house was built around 1900) by and i'd like to learn more about the history of the business that was once here - name, photos, anything at all really! Seems to be very little from open source research so i'm hoping anyone with history in the area can provide any insight!  Starting here before i contact Southwark Archives or similar orgs to get any information and pictures (any advice here also would be welcome). Thank you
    • Portable ramps are available for businesses to use in this sort of situation, aren't they? I don't know whether one would be suitable for use here, or whether they have the space to store one. Lots of people have  permanent or temporary disabilities which mean they have to use crutches or a wheelchair.
