Has anyone tried the Insanity dvds by what i can only call him the machine Shaun T ???

I thought i was quite fit until i gave it a go & how much opinion has changed.

It is so hard i have never known anything like it & don't know if i will be able to make it to day 60 : (

Has anyone out there completed it?

I'm ready to give up after the warm up, its torture.

Yes! I love Insanity. My husband and I have done the whole thing a few times and still do some of the work outs as one-offs. It's hard when you start and hard when you finish. If you push yourself, it's hard at every level of fitness. Can't get a better workout at home than this.

You can do it! Some days I dreaded it to start and then was glad I finished. Everyone in the video takes a break at some point in the workout. Just do what you can, take a break and keep going! You can do it! Dig deeper! You can tell I've seen a lot of Shaun T (and Tanya).

I'd also recommend t25 - it's Shaun T's 25 min workouts.

I tried Asylum but it requires more equipment and coordination then I have!

Like KGastaldo I've seen alot of Shaun and Tanya too - so much so that they almost felt like members of our family.

I have completed Insanity a few times and even got the t-shirt after I sent my before and afters! It does work so just keep on digging deeper and it will be worth it! Everything just seems to lift!

It is hard but I guess that is main draw.

The wall chart is very motivating as you can tick off each workout as you do it (I kept mine on the inside of a cupboard door). You may also find it helpful to join one of the team Beachbody communities on the website. I found all of that helpful as well as the online diary - yes I really need to get a life.

I've also got T25 but did not stick to it in the way that I stuck to Insanity.

You will be chuffed with yourself when you see and feel the results. You can do it.

Glad you are noticing the benefits already. Do you feel great after each workout?

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
