?twas fun. Just a quiet night down the pub, got to meet weegee and the bobs and catch up with other assorted reprobates, drank good beer and whiskey, spoke nonsense and had a very in-depth but massively uninformed conversation about jazz with the ex ruler of India.

So a successful evening all ?round.

Yep was a great little evening. Was a nice little turnout of people who had a good laugh and chat. Nice to meet Sean, Sue, Andrew , Mockney Piers. Was great to meet Brendon and LegalEagle-ish for the first time. LegalEagle-ish, you kept me laughing all night with your stories,., views on the world etc..

I had a slight grumble about the music in Hoopers..but towards the end of the evening , it wasnt as loud as last year!

All in a good night. Hello To Sean , Sue and Georgia who i bumped into over the weekend during my daughters birthday celebrations!

    • Another vote for The Cheese Block on LL but for 20 adults, you'd better be willing to pay a fair chunk of money or hope that they'll be happy with very small amounts of cheese! Other than that, supermarket or search online for a large Christmas cheese hamper and take your pick. For example: https://www.finecheese.co.uk/collections/christmas-selections-hampers (only mentioning them as we had a gift hamper, much smaller than a big Christmas one, from them a while ago and it was very nice). I'm sure there are other excellent options.

    • Buy it from the supermarket. Cut in it into wedges. Wrap neatly in greaseproof paper. No one will no any different.
