Jah Lush - we've just been struggling to retune our BT Vision box .In the end we unplugged it and restarted it ,and it went automatically to the scan for new channels option.

We do have a remote ,but I notice that the box itself also has an OK/select button.

But if you have a freeview TV maybe it's different.Have you checked if the TV has a an OK/select button?

I know RP but there's some of us who think if we look doltish, helpless and baffled in the face of technology, we'll appear 'cute'.

What d'you reckon?

Its because you are in texas at the moment. If you were in the uk it would probably work.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
