I can't believe you called my mum a sucker!?

One accident is bad luck. Two accidents and you have to start asking yourself some pretty searching questions.

Anyway thanks for attracting so much attention to my mate's piano. Give me a shout if your nose gets itchy at the next forum get together and I'll try to return the favour..

*Bob* lost two arms but gained a Mini Clubman automatic which he steers with his teeth.

Oh yeah and the piano went for ?26.99. Admin was closest but Price is Right rules apply so over is bust.

Can you now lounge this thread please? I'd hate for someone to click on here in the hope of buying a piano only to hear that the piano has gone, a man has been maimed and my mum has been ripped off and insulted.

Out of boredom interest..

How much did said piano actually go for ?

( jeezus, i'm clutching at straws here )

Nette(?)

EDITED TO SAY.

Cripes, If only I 'd read ALL of the posts. However, has there been any feedback from the purchase?

I'm glad that things have worked out well and that the falling out I feared might happen twixt Allan and *Bob* didn't come to be.

Seems that the spirit of the Paul 'n' Stevie song prevailed and that like different keys on a piano they are now coexisting in peace and harmony, albeit slightly out of tune.

Well he's dropped the "little" part, so i'm sure he's thinking about it.

Did he buy that piano do you reckon ?

( imagine that, Alan Dale's mums piano being played by Stevie himself )

(tu)

Can't believe anyone paid for the piano.

We got our plinkyplonk teach-the-kids piano for nowt locally, which I believe is the going rate. And yes, once you've coughed up for movers and the gorgeous Irish tuner, it does start to feel as though you could have got it for less.

    • Pity you didn't quote what you are referring to, Mal. I didn't see the previous post, and my mind is boggling 😮
    • The Cherry Tree was absolutely excellent for a while when a youngish couple ran it and brought in a really good chef. It was them who renamed it The Cherry Tree. They were really turning it around. The chef did fantastic Scotch eggs, and one of the best roasts I've ever had. If memory serves the then owner,  for some reason known only to himself, took a dislike to them and what they were doing and sacked them all. And yes we weren't expecting a top class  meal last Christmas, and we left it too late to book anywhere else, but we weren't expecting it for a hundred pounds EACH to be quite as terrible as it was. Stupid us. Not sure why you are confused by my post, Jazzer? Did I misremember? Now it's got even more confusing because my posts have been merged and your confused emoji is shown at the bottom of the second one instead of the first 🤣
    • Hear hear. Very well said. Thank you and all the best for the year ahead
    • Tried months ago, to get folk together to do something, to say thank you. Been a member of the forum for years and if you had not stepped up, would not be an active  forum. Well administered as well. So from me to you, thanks for keeping it going..  Happy Christmas and blessings and good fortune in 2026 which I am told is The Year of The Horse….
