WARNING: Con Artist (asking for sponsorship for the 'local kids football team')

This evening I challenged a young black guy at my door who was getting sponsorship for the 'local kids football team', he had called before and claimed to be collecting. He got aggressive, threatened to break my jaw and said he would come back to 'put my windows' in, I followed hi down the street and he ran off. I have given description to the ED Police station so if you have had a similar experience please let them know.

I live in Silvester Road and he was about 5'9", black, wearing a black beanie hat and an England Rugby tracksuit top with the O2 sponsorship logo on it. He had two sheets of paper with writing on them but these are just props.

Do not give this man money.

There is also a woman same kind of M.O who comes around collecting for a school run of some kind in the Sydenham area.

Well not at my house anymore ( funnily ) but still around the area.

He's been round my house about 2 years ago. Also started getting aggressive with me. Told him to **** off!

He's called at mine too at the start of summer, in broad daylight claiming he lived right opposite. Pellatt Road. I felt totally intimidated into giving him a couple of quid even though everything about him was telling me it was a con. Hopefully he gets caught soon, not good to hear he's threatening violence.

Yep, he called at us too - about 2 years ago...only he was polite then (almost charming)...either it's a different guy or he's grown into a real sad ****
