One of the thingy plates that heats up (don't know what they're called) broke on mine and I got the spares to fix it from the electrical shop that used to be where Cafe Nero is now. I know the shop hasn't moved far but I'm struggling with the name - someone else on here will remember.
Go into MooToo on Lordship Lane and ask for Maggie. She will give you the contact details of their repairs people. I bought my Dualit kettle from Maggie when she owned MadCow on Park Hall Road about ten years ago, and she subsequently organised for it to be fixed when it broke. Maggie is the oracle when it comes to this type of thing.

    • Eliot built sitting room alcove shelving and cupboards for me earlier this year and did a great job. I highly recommend him. The joinery is completed to a really high standard; Eliot was super communicative throughout and took care to check details with me. The work was done on time and the guys took care to clean up afterwards (not always the case!). I’m extremely pleased with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.
    • True but I doubt nobody around lordship lane has a phone. The value that the phone box provides is severely outweighed by modern circumstances and its painfully ugly look. Having to use that phone in an emergency is an emergency in itself.
    • Yes, except round here is started in early September, through October, in all that means fireworks season is now 5 months of the year.  Again, what is the attraction in startling random bangs. Why do people think this is okay?
