Annette, as you may already know it is simply that there have been several instances of companies setting up more than one identity on the forum in order to post fake endorsements...I think because both you and the other lady who posted strongly in favour of the event appeared to have set up your accounts and posted for the first time on that same day it looked a little dubious.

Of course anyone is free to post their views, that is the whole point of the forum. I certainly remember seeing posts from special chocolates in the past, remember thinking what a good name it was.

Anyway, personally I hope we can all move on now - I only posted again on the subject to clarify that I didn't find NM at all aggressive.

Molly :))

Agree that the 12th looks best for everyone this time around, and hopefully plenty of tired children in bed easily after the NCT party the same day, so we can make easy and fast escapes!

I don't mind where we go - happy to glam up, or town down (in dirty jeans and baby sick covered jumper!!) according to what suits people.

I know some of the Lordship Lane places will reserve space for a group free of charge, which might be a good idea on a Saturday in December.

Have to admit to not having gone out recently, so not really in a position to suggest where - anyone else?

Molly

erm, Green and Blue is nice, also the Lodge upstairs from EDT might be a good space for this - think a bit of it def reservable? Franklins is great but quite a small bar really isn't it? Oh dear - the irony of a bunch of mums trying to think of a place to drink ie none of us often get the chance to try places out!

I would love to come along, but am likewise away on 12th to the nasty countryside.

Think this is a great idea, though must admit that in my knackered state I crave lounging in other people's living rooms (no matter what state, even a lads'-house littered with lad-mags, beer cans, pizza and with disturbingly matted carpet would do) and lots of large cups of tea much more than bars and booze! Though bars and booze still good.

    • So much passive-aggressive in one small reply.
    • I had not realised your photographs were of the road I live in - which I must admit I do not recognize. I had though they were not Underhill Road  but elsewhere. Apologies. I had thought I was writing of my own experiences in Underhill Road but obviously I don't know my own streets. When the men I watch tip rubbish into their lorries they do not seem to spill out into the road, but obviously my eyes aren't good enough to see this.
    • It was around New Year 2023; I had walked my dog past the exact spot late that evening before it happened. There were a lot of cars in Straker's Road that night playing loud music. "Roadmen" Alice. We all know who they are but you are daring, through the use of public shaming and ostracism, people to declare something you already know. Tut tut Alice, white boys also affect a Roadman persona. There was a statistic I read on a council advert at a bus stop in Lambeth, it said "99% of young people in Lambeth have never been in trouble with the police". We all know 99% of the 1% are Roadmen so lets not pretend any further.
    • “Peckham rye is a very safe place to be” was someone not murdered for a phone a few years back, also daily muggings happening at the park if you look outside of you bubble
