Huguenot
I appreciate I went beyond the pale recently, and let a number of people down, exposing them to criticisms they didn't deserve.I was both short-tempered and foolish. I was also foul-mouthed, which isn't really acceptable.I'd like to apologise particularly to TLS and to Quids. TLS for allowing my irritation to sway my judgement, and to Quids for being a pompous ass.I'm not sure whether it's good form to edit, but I'll go back and do it. I hope that for those that will see it for what I hope to achieve, that you won't chastise me for the effort. *Bob*
It's not your fault that Quids is a pompous ass - so I don't see the need for an apology. Good on you, though.. I have a high regard for your otherwise thoughtful and educated postings (despite not really understanding any of them). HonaloochieB
Well done for apologising to TLS and Quids, it's a big man that can admit he's made a bish. However apologising for being short-tempered, foul-mouthed and foolish could set a dodgy precedent, Christ we'll be apologising for being pissed next.Regards Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8558-an-unreserved-apology/#findComment-261386 Share on other sites

????
I don't think you had to apologise to me at all let alone publicily Huguenot but it is accepted. As others have said, the fact that you're big enough to do this shows us your true integrity. Mick Mac
ok. All the men of edf rush to type apologies. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8558-an-unreserved-apology/#findComment-261439 Share on other sites
giggirl
Huguenot - we've never met but you sound so thoroughly decent I had a tear in my eye reading your post. Who would play you in EDF the movie? I'm thinking a young Gregory Peck (Atticus Finch of course). Ted Max
I was thinking Hugh Grant in his "long-delayed act of emotional honesty deep in the third act of the movie just before he wins the woman back" sincere mode, hand rummaging through his hair, blue shirt coming loose at the belt buckle. It may even be raining. "Recently, I think I may have been the most awful pompous ass, and I do apologise - unresevedly. Did I say ass? I mean arse. No, I mean ass, like the donkey. Anyway, all that I am is just a man, standing in front of another man, asking him to forgive." HonaloochieB
OK Hugo, now apologise to TLS's mates for suggesting you could take the lot of them. You never actually used the phrase 'bring yer dinner an' I'll fackin' 'ave that an' all' but I felt it was implied. Ted Max
He'd have taken the whole EDF inner clique, *Bob*. That's Mockney, ComesWithFries, TheNappyMan, SoiledPants and LuvDisaster. That's a tasty crowd, right there. TLS would have had Tall Paul from the hardware store, Honest Eric from the dogs, Big Bi Bri from the Bexley outsize women's wear shop, and Dolly the Fat Controller from the cab office. And Quids holding the pistols.Hard to call. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8558-an-unreserved-apology/#findComment-261605 Share on other sites
*Bob*
I'd say if he's bringing Mockney he ought to ask him to lay-off the Wilkinson Sword for a week. Clean-shaven, the worst he looks like he could do is sneakily change your keyboard shortcuts. mockney piers
Ha ha. Yes. The two of us wouldn't make anyone quake in their boots. One thing I've noticed. TOny milked any thread focussed on himself forall it was worth, often posting heaps in a row himself. I'm enjoying Huguenots dignified silence, there alone we have a comparative measure of the two men. Next week, cock size...
