Tyrrell Road

Hi, we are in the process of buying a house in Tyrrell road and we are excited to move to this area as it seems very nice with good schools, restaurants, parks and so on; however we have not being leaving here before and I would like to ask to this forum some comments on how safe the area is in general and how the area is growing.

Its a lovely part of ED to live in. I live just off Tyrrell road on Ferris Road and its really safe, very quiet and close to everything you need. Peckham Rye park is just around the corner, Lordship Lane is a 10 minute walk, East Dulwich and Peckham Rye stations are both within walking distance...you'll love it!

I too live on Ferris Road and this is a very quiet little corner of ED as Oakhurst Grove really reduces the traffic flow through this pocket...

We've been on Tyrrell since 2006 and love it! Great location as you say, being close to Peckham Rye for buses to the train station is really convenient. You're also a short distance away from great pad thai and burgers at The Rye pub on the other side of the park.

Adrian Lester I think lives on your road so it can't be too bad.

Its a lovely road, but have a feeling its outside of the catchment area for the local primary schools (Heber/Goodrich being the nearest) so be careful if thats an issue for you.

echo all of the above, the Police also echo that this area (touch wood) is very quite with regards to crime.

Loads of buses take you to Peckham Rye station also and The Gardens is a great doctors surgery.

st johns and goose green are closer than heber and goodrich schoolwise...

and adrian lester moved out about 3 years ago...

You'd never get in St Johns (200m catchment area) and Goose Green is in special measures. If I had primary age children I wouldn't move there.
