Hi adriana - when is gumboots going to be back at Crystal Palace road after the building work is complete? My daughter is on the waiting list, she's Lily-Mae's smaller sister, Iris. She turns 2 in October 2010 so keen to start her at Gumboots whenever you're back in East Dulwich as Lily-Mae loved it so much there :)

ADriana - hope to see you soon

sheradene - My daughter goes to Dulwich Nursery in Sainsbury's Car Park and really loves it there. It's a small nursery so she gets lots of individual attention and gets on really well with the staff.

Hi Sheradene - My son is at Mother Goose nursery on Greendale. He seems to really enjoy it and we've been really happy with it.

I got a list of local nurseries from southwark council - give their childcare information service a call and they will send you information. Then I called and arranged to visit some.

Just to second that my 14 month son is at Mother Goose on Greendale and loves it. I was initially wary of him going to nursery but he runs off as soon as my husband drops him off without a backward glance for poor Daddy!

They take babies from 3 months.

The Manager is Remi who is lovely, tel 0207 738 7700.

My two went to Mother Goose on Waveney Avenue a few years ago now, and many of the same staff are still there - there is a good mix of older very experienced staff as well as younger staff. The children were very happy there and they also have a fantastic outside space.
Asquiths on Peckham Rye is excellent. Our baby started there at 7 months and really loves it. The staff are really caring and the place has a really lovely atmosphere. They have a waiting list so even if you don't know exactly when you plan to return or what your days will be, I think it's best to get your name down now and then work the rest out later.

    • If you want to talk about tax you have to contextualise it - this is not a highly taxed country but it is a country that needs money - so what do you propose?   if you dk t want to live under a left wing govt that’s your choice but how do we get from left wing govt to Russia?   you make no sense
    • Nope, not "complaining or moaning", stating an opinion. Tax - yes we are taxed to the hilt, the threshold is £12570, Govts not increasing this means more and more people get dragged into paying tax. HMRC are a joke, even if you're below that figure they take tax that has to be claimed back as its wrongly deducted.  Inflation is supposedly dropping, the reality in the shops is the total opposite, week on week almost, prices increase, utilities increase etc. I don't want to live under a left wing govt, if you do, suggest you try living in Russia.
    • But only the first g in garage is a "hard" g? The second one is a "soft" g whether you pronounce it "j" or (not sure how to write it, but even softer, like a cross between "sh" and "j"?) So surely Malumbu's hard g in Farage would be like the first g in garage, not the second one? I can't believe I am wasting my time writing this irrelevant drivel 🤣
