I'm thinking of setting up my own retro 70's drinks stall on GG Saturday afternoons. Snowballs with glazed cherries, babychams (served in vintage bottles). Ahh the hipsters will flock to it, "what are these artisan street drinks the working classes used to drink? Maybe if we drink them we can be even more ironically cool"

And yes I'll charge triple market price.

Louisa.

Guys thanks for the humorously negative comments. On a more positive note the sign is not totally dark. The response rate for this thread is high relative to the average in the Lounge. Controversy may be thought of as the prelude to great thing.

Let me explain a bit. I gather that the word soup is not very fashionable. And perhaps it alludes to the historical phenonmenon of soup kitchen. However, soup is not a bad thing either. A hot broth with chopped vegetable and diced meat flowig down the stomach, accompanied by good quality bread at lunch time can be nutritious, tasty, convrnient and cost effective for sustenance until dinner time. There are many varieties to suit people of different tastes, lifestyle and energy requirement. Soup can also be seasonal. The Spanish has been making cold tomato soup for centuries.

But, interest in hearing your views !

I genuinely think it's a great idea. I love my own home made soup. You need a title like a soup barrista type of thing. If there isn't a term already just invent one.

Soup is great but the bread to go with it is important too. I'm sure you can take this idea and soup it up a bit.

I'm assuming the actuary thing has become boring...

    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
