Hi Admin,

I sent a PM to someone early yesterday morning. I thought I was imagining having sent it as when looking later in the day it wasn't in my Sent folder. However I did get a reply which quoted my message though it's still not showing in my Sent folder. Hasn't caused me any distress but I thought you might like to know.

Hi there,

Hope you're well. Just getting in touch as I had a post regarding a '9 day weight management and cleansing programme' deleted.

Just looking at the T & C's and assuming it's because because I posted it multiple times.

Apologies for this. With your permission would I be able to re post if it's kept to one area of the forum,

Regards,

Joe Rowntree

Hi Admin, there are now two active threads in 'General ED issues / gossip...' to do with the planning application at DHFC. Would it be possible to lock 'Exhibition of the proposed redevelopment at DHFC' and refer forumites to 'Planning application submitted for new DHFC stadium' instead? That should avoid any confusion of threads. Many thanks!

Richard Mitchell, electrician - there was a posting re Richard on the forum a couple of days ago however, this seems to have disappeared. As I am one of Mr Mitchell' s dissatisfied clients and am in the early stages of submitting a legal claim regarding a monetary advance given to him before he disappeared, I was interested to read that a couple of other people had the same experience as myself. Is there any way, I can get in touch with these people via your forum or has all the info been deleted? I would be interested to know why the thread was removed, if you are able to tell me.

Many thanks.

Hi Admin

I used to get email notifications whenever I received a new private message. For some reason this is no longer happening (although I don't think I have ticked or unticked any boxes) and I have missed some messages.

I have checked my profile and it says email notification of new private messages is enabled so not sure what I need to do to make sure that I get an email.

Can you help?

I'm not speaking for Admin, but do you know if it is a continuing thing? I've just sent myself a test PM, and duly received the notification email. If that test fails, I'd suspect your mail delivery or collection. Check first whether the notification is maybe ending up in a junk or spam mailbox. A further test/stratagem might then be to try changing your registered EDF email address so that you get it via a different server.

That usually means you have a banned word in the text.

    • Hi everyone, I'm Gen, a catsitter based in Sydenham - if you're away this summer and need some care for your pets, please do consider me!  I can typically cover Sydenham, Forest Hill, Penge, Anerley, Crystal Palace, East Dulwich and parts of Peckham. If it's outside those areas, it still might be worth messaging me to see if I can help. I'm registered with Cat in a Flat, with flawless reviews – I'm happy to accept clients through there, or just directly (you can just DM me on the forum here) - whichever you're more comfortable with. I've been catsitting for a few years, and also used to volunteer for Celia Hammond. Here's my profile https://catinaflat.co.uk/pet-sitter/377081 Ping me a message if you need help or have any questions!
    • And we humans bear a lot of responsibility for creating the conditions that brought foxes into urban settings. I certainly don't regard them as pests - they are noisy little criminals, but I'm very fond of them (we have huge numbers of them in my area - I rescued a lost baby fox earlier this year). However, there are pest control companies that use humane methods to deter them and redirect them to different territories (a friend of mine works for one, but sadly for OP, I don't think this is in their catchment area).
    • Please don't call them "pests". They are animals who have as much right to be here as we do. Which doesn't mean we can't use humane ways to keep them off our crops, like fruit cages and netting.
