Mr LB has just caught a train from London Bridge and has arrived in North Duwlich station no probs, train was running on time and journey time was as normal. That doesn't mean all trains will be fine, of course, but at least some seem to be normal.
I know it has been said before, but I want to marry you also SMBJones. You truly are the most helpful man around (many apologies if I have misinterpreted you as being a man but would marry you either way - if I was not already "taken" - but that is another story). You are the type of RSS we all need to our phones in times like these.

He and his team have been doing an excellent job in what must be very trying circumstances.

I just wished he looked after Denmark Hill and could do something about the utterly abysmal service offered by First Capital Connect.

I'll pass on the calendar though!

Hi nutty,

Southwark has kept rubbish and recycling collections going throughout the weather - they're slower than usual so not sticking to normal timetables but they are happening. However, garden rubbish and large item booked collections have been stopped and the people diverted to helped with normal rubbish and recyclnig collections.

Tell me your address and I'l ask what's gone wrong for you.

    • He wasn't great when interviewed on Channel 4 News this evening either, but he may get some respite tomorrow with the breaking Nandy story.
    • I was referring more to his performance at PMQs yesterday. It was quite a riot! Almost topped Mastermind
    • Agreed, he should not be held accountable over the mess up over release of prisoners. On the other hand he did himself no favours with his gaffes on the BBC Master Mind programme where he passed on five questions. Where he did answer, here are some of his responses.... When asked who succeeded Henry VIII, Lammy incorrectly answered “Henry VII,” When asked which French scientist won Nobel prizes for both physics and chemistry?” Lammy responded with “Antoinette” When asked which fortress was built to defend Paris and later used as a prison, he answered “Versailles". When asked which variety of blue English cheese is often taken with port, he answered "Leicester" If nothing else he was entertaining.
    • Why do you think he should be toast? All these problems with the prison service apparently go way back, long before Labour took over.
