Not nasty enough to use the N word however - point that out :)

My heart was racing watching that. Really really well done in terms of drama and intensity. People are saying it went too far, but grim as it was, I thought it was spot on.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Got that right, but it was a cruel tease, making you think that Glenn (who got the bat in the comics) might be spared. Apparently the actor (Steven Yeun) said he didn't want that moment going to anyone else.

One of the most interesting things going forward will be the fate of Daryl. He's not in the comics, so no clues there.

Speaking of the comics, I've finally started reading them, but I'm only at issue 10, all this Negan stuff is around issue 100. I've not even made the end of season 1 yet. But there are big differences. Carol is NOTHING like her TV counterpart. And Shane (main antagonist of seasons 1 & 2) wasn't around for long at all in the books. And no Merle & Daryl. Plus Carl is way younger (7 at the start).

I was only able to catch up yesterday. Also enjoyed Talking Dead's extended show and highlight reels. How young Steven Yeun looked in series 1!

I'm very sad to see him go - great character, the heart of the group. But they have gone a long time without the death of a really central character (Beth, or all the way back to Hershel?), and Glenn does die in the comics.

Excited to see where they go this season, it's certainly changed the group's world. Never read the comics so everything is a surprise.

Thought the acting was superb. From everyone, even those that didn't say much.

They actually filmed the deaths of all of them so as to keep the outcome secret. Maggie's clubbing (and Glenn's response to seeing it) has been leaked, but I don't really fancy watching that.

Anyway, it's certainly spiced things up a bit, as I thought the last season was getting slightly stale.

Why he mentioned Nigel Farage’s name 38 times but Keir Starmer’s name just once in his once in a while chance to push his party’s plans for the future I don’t know. There was nothing laid out by this man in the plan for the future and his general election grab for 2029?
    • Who? Danny Thompson or Richard Thompson?! I don't think we could/could have afforded either of them! We only started the Goose in 2008. Danny Thompson to the best of my knowledge (understandably given his instrument) only performed with other musicians, usually very well known. It never occurred to us  to ask about Richard Thompson. I think we just assumed our venues would be  too small, even DHFC.
    • I'm blue-skying here, but you did ask. In the US, there's a franchise called 'Ripley's Believe It Or Not!' It's an 'Odditorium' - basically a museum of the strange, bizarre and barely credible. They always seem quite busy - I reckon a British version could work on that site and bring some cash into the area. They also offer an affordable, quality casual dining experience. It could be called something like 'Dave's You're Shitting Me?' or 'Bob's I Shit You Not!' or 'Jimmy Hill's 'Yeah? Chinny Reckon!' And I'd like to see a helipad. And a 'Koala Kuddlery' And a windfarm. And a Mini 'Spoons.
    • Gosh, free meal for two.. peanuts as in your time.. well, I thought the salad bar was great, unlimited non alcoholic drinks, free bread, butter, etc, god knows at least six dressings for salads, plus oil and vinegar to do yourself.. yup, main courses were not fab but equally better than Mac Donald’s burgers and always had veggies options, plus fish, and chicken.. Gather one sadly around Beulah Hill area has also closed…. Certainly would not have beaten the door down to get there, but equally reasonable price with unlimited salad bar plus various desserts at an affordable price for all… Not a fan of Wetherspoons at all - all chucked in microwave but equally  can’t knock them for prices and certainly booze is cheap compared to Lordship Lane eateries.. So, what do we all think is going to replace the non exsistent pub? Or would like to see?  If Dulwich Estates were not landlords.. I will start — social housing, new health centre, Aldi/Lidl/Iceland…A building that incorporates community areas/ library/ roof top space for planting, rooms let out at affordable prices, let’s go crazy here, along the same theme, opportunity to ask local residents what they would like or, who ever leases it or buys it to have an open day and show to all interested if not a block of flats, plans and suggestions… might a well dream on.. maybe, will be second hand car garage… tent city in containers - least would not be homeless and have your own space, key and lock…
