apart fom the tracks mentioned, for different reasons, and apart from my own personal favourites, the one which stands out for me in terms of visual imagery is Se?or, Se?or, (Tales of Yankee Power), I can see him in the doorway of the hacienda, dust from horses hooves on the horizon , if he had only mated with Laura Esquivel, imagine. the magical realism that partnership would have produced, or Isabel Allende, wonderful stuff, well deserved and about time too.

interesting how many of the (recent) likes are off Blood On The Tracks. Years ago, as a result of a combination of feck-ups, I spent Xmas on my own at a mates house - log fire, cooked my own bird and went through his record collection. Found BOTT. When Shelter From The Storm came on as first track I was covered in music for the entire day and when folks arrived later feeling sorry for me I was Mr. Grateful for what I'd had access to that day. Great album and such a tiny part of what he's written.

Rendel thanks for finding this thread again, I could not find it earlier and assumed it'd been deleted. So now we're here, my current fave (and one I may try playing at the Jam in Nov) is Fourth Time Around:

(can't find it on youtube !)

If push came to shove, Blood On The Tracks is probably my favourite album of all time.

    • Of course they do.  Why on earth wouldn't they?
    • At last a decision…. Hope it lives up to your expectations. Good post though as new eateries appeared which no doubt others like myself will try out. Has changed hands last year but sure that will not bother you…personally always abit concerned if not many eating over lunchtime but  that is just me. Do let us know how food was after all of you have  indulged…was great when it was a cafe and personally hope it is good as I like Turkish food.
    • It looks as though there will be 10 of us!  We are going to Love Dulwich again for a lunch and will checkout their 'normal' menu - from what we remember from the last 2 times we went = there was plenty to satisfy every one and they were happy to take party bookings.- Hubby and I have worked out that if all our daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren were  to come - there would be 20 of us!! As it is - the Essex  family branch live too far away to come over for an evening - so we will meet up in Essex at a later date.
    • Tend to use 37 or 42 bus as rarely been able to find parking space. Sods Law - there is sometimes a few spaces when I bus it.!
