Brilliant goal scored by Benzema for Real Madrid last saturday. If you get a chance to see it look out for the brilliantly audacious back heel by Gutti to set it up. I think if they avoid each other it will be a Barca v Real Madrid Champions league final.

Would probably be the greatest night in Barcelona's history if they achieved that. Could be tight though. Madrid are playing well at the moment and are getting better with every match.

Good to hear that Jimmy. My champions league bet is Real so hope they are just getting into gear now. They have such great players now and all in their prime unlike previous galacticos. Would be a great final for spain.

I think the coach, Pellegrini must take a lot of credit. He hasn't always played the galacticos and has still used players like Van der Vart and Gutti to great effect. They seem to have tightened up a bit at the back as well.

Great performance by Real Madrid to beat Villareal 6 -2. Ronaldo actually looks worth the money Real paid for him. He was awesome.

I saw Barca demolish Madrid last night. Apart from Ronaldo, Madrid look like a relatively poor side. I was very curious though that not only did Barca play the usual right back Alaves in a forward role but that the commentators were aware of this prior to the game starting. That sort of information is usually left to the commentators in England to work out once a game has started. I wondered if they do things differently in Spain?

I agree Barcelona were brilliant and have been playing very well over last few weeks, at just the right time at the business end of the season. Not sure how accurate you are in your assessment of the level of info made available to English commentators. Sky are pretty good when covering games regarding any tactical adjustments a team may make prior to kick off.
