Who Owns the Uplands?

Recommended Posts

I believe it is owned by Barter Inns - at least that's what www.barterinns.co.uk claims.

Ted Max, I may well be wrong about this but;

Perhaps SeanMacG finds it interesting that SweetShopDan is asking such a question because he -SweetShopDan - works for/runs a small, locally-based marketing company. Perhaps this is the beginning of his field work for a new client in an attempt to raise the profile of said establishment (The Uplands) or indeed the parent company(Barter Inns?) ?

Incidentally and according to their website, Barter Inns also owns the very popular (at least on this forum) 'The Castle' on Crystal Palace Road and 'The Hope' in Peckham.

Ted - apologies for any tardiness in my reply...

The reason I was interested in Dan's post was I got to know him through his connection with GutRocking and he had many ideas about spaces for comedy/music/performance and wondered if this was what he was angling after. Plus I was on my phone at the time so typing was a real faff.

Dan also plays a mean game of rounders fact fans

Thanks Jason!

I am looking to get my hands on a licensed establishment in the areas, just doing some research into flagging boozers and seeing who owns them, thanks for all the input I am going to make approach to Barter Inns, however have been told he is not in the market to off load at the moment.

Cheers

    • We had one that projected stars and played lullabies. It was a soft toy bee with a hard plastic back. I know we used it but can’t recall how effective it was.  What was brilliant was the Lulla sleep doll which has a heart beat sound. That was a critical sleep aid for the first couple of years.
    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
