  1. You have a choice: 1) Be afraid, be very afraid 2) Don't worry darling D
  2. Everyone who was ever in love with someone else calls people this, don't they? I'm not implying that you still shit your nappies.
  3. That was me. It's not about actuaries per se (it's about the appropriate time to have "off" between relationships (oh - and penis pumps))! But it is called The Actuary Song and is sung in a musical (called "I Love You Because") by a character who is an actuary! I suppose it has some "actuary-type" qualities about it!! http://www.imeem.com/reelpersona/music/QRAmQbZX/i-love-you-because-offbroadway-cast-the-actuary-song/ Enjoyed meeting people: some again, some for the first time but, too many, not at all. Thanks Georgia - and yes, the venue was nice. Decor eclectic. Some of it hideous and some of it rather lovely. Something for everyone - a bit like the people there!! Edited for my own reasons.

    Hobbies

Join a choir, learn to play bridge, take up a musical instrument, learn a new language. Come and play Scrabble at the Plough!
  5. Exactly how does one "look" American?!
  6. Bar staff who don't bother to notice the order in which customers approach the bar. And people (there are too many) who approach the bar well after you and put their order in before you. I shall be policing this tonight. So be careful.
  7. Writing to the chairman is not pointless (though I can't speak for government agencies). Writing to the chairman of John Lewis got us 50% off the cost of a new kitchen after a nightmare installation experience.
  8. Chairman: Stephen K Green HSBC Holdings plc 8 Canada Square London E14 5HQ
  9. Mornington Crescent!!! I win. With the Spectrum and (particularly) with the CFEB laws in operation, you cannot go to a station currently only served with a bus replacement. See you all next time! D
  10. It does, so Canons park it was. Bank would have been very dodgy. Sticking with the CFEP, I'm off to: Wimbledon.
  11. Sanity returns! Woolwich Arsenal
  12. I agree but we need an independent review from an expert who hasn't yet been involved in the game.
  13. Quite - never can put things in simple terms! One minute they're accusing the winner of trickery and calling for an enquiry (I concede by the way), the next they're defending them using the most arcane rules of them all. Game in 6? Pah! We had same in 3 predicted before and that never happened. But (grudgingly) - well done Peckhamgatecrasher. Let's play again sometime, though I'll need to review a more recent rulebook with this sort of competition!
  14. Oh - so essentially a nouveau Jerry Springer then? Why is he "famous"? Did me marry a Corr or something? Can we expect another dire musical called "Jeremy Kyle - The Opera"?
  15. Explain please this "wider phallic manoeuvre". It's not in my edition (which admittedly is not quite up-to-date) and is obviously the only reason why Canada Water could be illegal. FL clearly agrees. Please explain in suitable MC detail why you can claim to have won.
  16. I'll have to look that one up but the book's at home and I am not. In the meantime I'll risk: Canada Water
  17. Using "The Hills Are Alive" Rule (introduced after the film of The Sound of Music came out in 1965) Dollis Hill
