  1. https://thedharmatrails.com/alternative-to-plastic-bags/ Alternatives to plastic flimsy bags!
  2. Has anyone notic3ed the council tax NOT being taken via DD? I set mine up to be taken 20th every month, and it's not been claimed? I even rang the back to check and the DD is all set up. Seems a bit weird, especially if you're on a tight budget and you expect the money to be gone!

  4. Very happy with Nico, was speedy and efficient, getting to the heart of the problem and offering tips to future proof his excellent work. Very good rates too
  5. They told me the exact same thing. Entry to the bedroom of myself (a lone woman) In the end I refused and they wandered around the neighbourhood anyway, and managed to register it as an offence. oimissus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I rang the noise team at 1am to report deafening > music coming from a house in Peckham at the > weekend. 6. I'm so glad I approached Tom to help with some pictures I wanted to hang, not only was he patient and knowledgeable, he allowed me to experiment with variations in the space, as I was finding it difficult to make a decision. Quick, tidy, reasonable. Recommended!

  9. Anyone else having difficulty? Keep getting error message, we are having trouble reading your council tax info in our back office systems. No idea what's going on!
  10. Yes, worrying. Totally wrong season!
  11. I was having a heart attack. Is this urgent enough? When I experienced sharp chest pain in the middle of the night a few years ago, the words chest pain triggered a visit from an emergency medic (non ambulance) to quickly ascertain if it was a heart attack. It wasn't thankfully, and he then called the ambulance to take me. I wonder if things have changed what with covid
  12. The restaurant that doesn't have access is in the Walworth Road. La Luna
  13. How ridiculous! I rarely need a branch but went to Peckham last week, and the staff were so busy/helpful. As it happened, I needed counter service, and took to London Bridge. What a difference! Greeting staff more interested in their conversation, and 3 counter staff with nothing to do, place was empty!

  15. Tessa Jowell is now reporting as 'unavailable' for online requests via ASKMYGP BUT the telephone recorded message says to use it to get an appointment!
  16. Updated to say I asked the lovely fruit & veg stall woman about the planter. It IS council owned, but she said she tried growing stuff in there (herbs and the like) and was called a terrorist gardener, I think she means guerilla gardener? Anyhoo, it put me off trying anything, but I may ask Friends of Denmark Hill station, as they are very active in the station and may have more clout! 18. Was your ?150 discount listed separately? I'm not sure, I just have an amount discounted, it could be my single person discount trinidad Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The council tax bills arrived from the council > today. > > Can you cope with the increase or still value for > money? > > There is a ?150.00 council tax rebate from central > government for properties from A - D
  19. Bit random, but the huge planter in the blocked off Windsor Walk is full of a big fat nothing, apart from rough looking soil. Does anyone know who would be looking after it? Because I'm tempted to go guerilla gardener and throw some wild flower seeds in, and just watch what happens!
  20. Southwark would sell it's own grandmother for the right price

  22. I'm perpetually surprised to find a bus/train with all windows closed. I would like all cleaners to leave all windows open as part of their remit. Trouble is, a lot of the LB longer trains are with ones where you can't open the windows at all!
