  1. Any recommendations, I remember a day time one being advertised ages ago-in someone's garden too!
  2. Popped in today and the staff were telling people everything was 50% off! Even books.. It includes Sunday so I'm definitely going back tomorrow
  3. Smaller charities are your best bet, the big ones can be quite notoriously difficult to please.
  4. I'm becoming a semi regular because of all this! Ambiance is lovely, can't fault the food, they allow us to have a dish each and a drink, or dessert and drink, no pressure to have loads...
  5. Thanks for posting, it reminded me of all the interesting survey work I used to do with these people
  6. Has anyone any recommendations/experience of sending their excess books to a company where you enter the details and they buy them, albeit for probably very little? They also provide boxes etc?
  7. I've said it before, but I found a whole new tribe with Meetup.com Easy to sign up and look for groups/events Eventbrite also lists interesting stuff sometimes. Parkrun?
  8. GP not willing to refer you on? Say, to King's or similar. Odd
  9. Last time the toilets were out of operation in the station M&S we were all told to go out and up to Sainsbo! Certainly didn't close (I'm not suggesting that's the thing the library should do!)
  10. Their website, link in the main message, will answer some if not all of these questions!
  11. Please disclose how much this course costs please
  12. Anyone been without a car, train preferably? Recommendations?
  13. One opposite Dulwich Library (Woodwarde Road) was good for me years ago

  15. Local council member for Lambeth leisure dept might be interested
  16. The bridge is unfortunately closed because a tree fell on it
  17. Blank canvas is best, people have all sorts of ideas/furniture/vision boards to get on with. Clean. Crisp. Neutral. If anything, dressing with freshly baked bread, and flowers makes subtle difference.
  18. Day One hair it's called
  19. Thumbs up to both! I'm fond of Alexandra Nurseries in Penge
  20. Strangely felt the need to refurbish even though it was literally set up to sell children's items! Wonder how much that cost
  21. Rather bizarrely, I received a text from TJ surgery offering this service. To be clear, no data was asked for in the text so I don't suspect a scam but surely this is dodgy? Where does my DNA info end up and who would have access? I'm going to the surgery on the invite date to ask precisely this.
  22. Has anyone had a Murphy bed built for them, or bought and installed themselves? Any particular issues or tips or pointers please?
