  1. I had an expected delivery date given on the tracker of Sunday but the excuse given was 'property inaccessible' which to my knowledge has never been the case :-) Inaccessible because delivery was not even attempted IMO
  2. Just offered the flu jab from Tessa Jowell surgery by text, I'm not 65 yet!

  6. The new charity shop in place of Pearspring has a back room full of books.DVD
  7. I'm not sure about what I saw today and just wanted to put it out there... A friend and I sat on one of the benches near the pond and a guy had a small net that he seemed to be catching fish with! Smallish fish, he just went from side to side and put the catches in a bucket. When we left, I asked what he was catching and he said insects for his koi carp! It wasn't insects! But is it suspicious? We both felt uneasy he was taking something from the wildlife
  8. I used a beautifully cooled 63 the other day, in fact my favourite moment was a passenger plugging in her hand held fan, to further aid comfort!
  9. Anyone on Twitter could check, seems to be the way things get communicated frequently these days. Lack of sign on the door was certainly odd
  10. Just before 6pm, approached and the store was closed. no sign that I could see...Pile of baskets etc in front to make it clear the doors were shut
  11. Yes, came here looking to post a link if it wasn't done already! Voted for DH of course, I really like the work the volunteers have done... Wonder if something similar could be done at ED? I'd be willing to play a part..

  17. Harry Belafonte. 96 years old. ps there must be a word for thinking someone was dead already, surely? Because alas I did.
  18. Thanks all, can't wait!
  19. I got mine a couple of months ago. It's really hard to find although it was mentioned in a leaflet drop from the council that I assume every household received? UPDATED TO SAY THE WINTER FUND IS CLOSED THE NEW 2023 FUND WILL REOPEN SOON. ASSUMONG THIS IS WHERE IT CAME FROM
  20. I've got Advocate, from the vets. Expensive but shop around. Found it improved his skin condition as I don't think he gets fleas (indoor puss)
  21. Southwark are giving residents a one off payment of £100 and everyone I ask has never heard of it! I don't have the link anymore, but council website/cost of living crisis is probably where it is. I answered a few questions, not many and received a letter to take to the Post Office. £100 cash payment
  22. That's really poor on the side of the Housing Assc. I can't emphasise enough, keep a diary. And record any noise nuisance if you can. HA should be able to signpost you to mediation, if you feel safe doing that.
  23. Dry cleaner next to the Post Office Lordship Lane has done a couple of good jobs for me
  24. Nigel Lawson former chancellor
