  1. I want it all - Queen
  2. Well Bopara doesn't have a lot of experience, but is averaging over 60 for his county, so fingers crossed he can pick up some runs if he gets to play...
  3. What Sharon said wasn't incorrect as such, but incomplete. The fact is, you can get DLA if you are on Income support, incapaity, or working full time. It is not linked to any of them, and you don't get it because you get any of them. I am pretty sure though that you can get an extra suppliment if you are on higher rate DLA, but it's been a while since I got involved in the murky world of benefits (on behald of a client, not for me), that I can't remember for sure. Have to say though Dulwichdahlia, that your posts seem to be having a dig at someone specific, and Sharon was justified in saying what she did, because your earlier posts were like something out of the Daily Mail. Your last post is much more reasonable (although I wouldn't say you've been mobbed or insulted), but it still sounds like you have a gripe at someone inparticular. Here is a question for you. The fact is, I could claim DLA if I wanted to, and I am pretty sure I could make a good enough case to get it (visual impairment). Now, I haven't claimed, and won't claim, because I don't feel I need to, but if I decided tomorrow that I would claim, as the extra few quid would be useful, would I then be a hardened criminal, or just someone who was taking a few quid extra to make up for the fact I got cr@ppy eyes?

The CPT girls are all pals, so I'm biassed, but they are all great. One of them is getting married on Saturday. Sam of The Drum is tops, and a great dancer too :)-D Have to say I was in the CPT the other night for the first time in ages, and the new crop of staff, headed up by Chris the manager, seem very nice too. Not sure of names except a lovely little Aussie called Rachel.

    Wrong, but funny!
  6. It seems common now that the 5% brands are releasing 4% versions. Becks Vier, Grolsch blonde and so on.
  7. dulwichdahlia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi Sharon - I have checked what you wrote, above, and I'm afraid you are completely wrong. People on income support do get DLA. > That is a total nonsense. DLA (disability living allowance) is a non means tested benefit for people of working age that require care, and/or help getting around. It is divided in to 2 components, care and mobility, both of which can be paid at higher or lower rates (or middle in the case of the care component). You could be working full time and earning ?40k and still qualify for this benefit. Now there are of course people getting DLA who probably could do without, or have blagged it a bit, but you do have to require medical records, and doctor/medical specialist details. It is certainly not a "premium"that they just add on to income support. For the record, if a person is over 65, and not already getting DLA, they would need to apply for Attendance Allowance (AA) INSTEAD.
  8. Monty would be cool! Seriously, why is Hoggard so out of the picture, he's in the top 5 English wicket takers and he will usually remove a couple of top order batsmen. I would have him in my team any day.
  9. Only spent a couple of days in Singapore, and found it really bizarre in the way old and new are all kind of thrown in together. I did like it though, but not sure I could hack it for long. That said, Mrs Keef and I have talked about doing a couple of years to see what it's like...

  11. No no, I wasn't picking on Asset or calling her psycho. I was just chuckling to myself reading the whole thing, and (in my opinion) huge over reactions on both sides over something that really really doesn't seem worth getting riled over.
  12. Not a film, but I have to say that I have been rather shocked at the language in Deadwood! Hearing Lovejoy using the C word is a bit weird! Bloody great series though, just started series 2.
  13. Yeah, he is a bit disturbed by the wallpaper!
  14. Anna, I had 2 friends with me, George and Matt. Matt was known on here as Fear N' Boozin, but doesn't post much now that he's got a job where they actually make him work. Poor guy!
  15. Colly has resigned as one day captain too, and Vaughan has confirmed he won't play in the final test, or lead England again. He is taking a break, then trying to regain his form at county level and hopes to be selected as a batsman for England again in the future... BBC Story, and press conference vid here.

  17. 9-5 Dolly Parton, just for the irony.
  18. I love threads like this. Hope I don't become psychotic if I ever have kids.
  19. Country house - Blur
  20. That was a good match though. Thought it would go in to the last morning.
  21. Help, the beatles
  22. Well done Collingwoord! Shame got out, he deserved to be left standing. 280 lead, come on you bowlers!
  23. Now this is looking like an interesting match!
  24. Glad we ended up getting there last night, even if we were slightly late in the day. Twas fun.
