  1. Anyone who believed New Cross would or will ever change must have been mad! However, I keep on hearing about the "Telegraph Hill" area being great... THAT IS NEW CROSS!!!!! It is however next to Aske's which probably explains it.
  2. Cheers for that Fish.

  4. Don't live there now, but 1978 - 1996 ED 1996 - 2001 Liverpool 2001 - 2002 ED/Hindhead in Surrey (there in the week, ED at weekends) 2002 - Feb 2006 ED Feb 2006 - Present The Sydenham Massive
  5. Actually, there was a series following a few people living in soho a cople of years ago. Can't remember what it was called, but some of the subjects were wealthy and trendy, some were seedy as you like. Quite an interesting mix.
  6. Ganapati, no it's not right next door, I was taking the pee... Not that I think it would really matter if it was. Anyway, I would like to say that I agree with the points above that this should be something that is open to proper and transparent debate, and everyone should have their say. This is just an internet forum, and no one said that a decision would be reached from this. However, there's no harm in people starting a debate around the subject. I am all for reasoned arguement, but I do hope that this idea isn't shelved completely due to close minded people that have no real idea about addiction.
  7. Whilst I know exactly what these guys are saying, I do feel that I should point out again that you can access all the best bits of ED from any of these areas, it's not like we're talking moving *shudder* north of the river.
  8. I made you eat cak?!?!? God I was more drunk than I thought!
  9. Think I'll be on a stag do that weekend, but most likely on Saturday, so should be cool.
  10. I heard they were going to highjack a plane and fly it in to Canary Wharf... And then build new housing on "ground zero". Could be wrong though.
  11. Er, said nursery is a mere few doors away from a pub.
  12. So, Foxton's are good for community spirit?
  13. I think I stuffed a whole square of cake in to my mouth at once so as to free up a hand for the stair rail... Class personified me.
  14. LOL Is the nursery the biggest issue here, would people not be bothered if it was somewhere else in the area? I asked a question earlier about whether people were just against this full stop, or if they would be okay with it in certain circumstances... I got no reply.
  15. Thats a brace of loungings for me today, I'm on for a hatrick!

  17. Heh heh heh Still in Zelda land at the moment...
  18. This seems to be a debate that will not end in complete agreement... I saw Ednerds earlier post and to be honest thought what a nasty selfish git. That post was followed however by Tillie, who I am a huge fan of, agreeing whole heartedly (if that is a fair interpretation of "here here"). Ednerd, I find the way you've put your arguements across to be a bit offensive to be honest, and this makes me less inclined to sympathise with them. I also don't like the way everyone has shot Louisa's arguements down. Her arguement on here was not out of order, it was not unreasonable, it was her opinion, and it mirrored those already shown by several people on this thread! What makes people think that Dulwich is such a special area that it shouldn't provide a service like this, and why would other areas be more appropriate? Now, next to a nursery, I can see the issues there, but when the kids are there, it will be staffed, and they will be at no further risk than they would be anyway... Being a needle user doesn't make you a child snatcher!
  19. There is a thread HERE about various "local characters" including the hat man and the white lady. Out of interest, does the newsagent on LL opposite the Woolwich still have the talking parrot toy thing outside? I can't say as I've noticed it for years, but I remember as a school kid walking past it every day when we had to go from St Johns & St Clement's (when it was on Northcross/Archdale) to Epiphany Hall on Bassano Street for our school dinners and assemblies.
  20. I used to know a guy (complete tosser I might add) who rented on of the flats in that Dunstan's Road house. Went to a party there once, and loved the little tower in the garden! The flat itself was beautiful too! Thankfully he got thrown out and hasn't been heard of since!

  22. Agreed. Just wish the stairs hadn't been quite so scary after a few drinks!
  23. I would argue that that is comparing people's opinions, of diabetics and heroin addicts, as opposed to comparing insulin and heroin.

    Quiet room...

*Thinks to self "I always liked that version"* *Feels very weary after the weekend* *Puts "Some like it hot" on the TV for this scene* *Sits back and enjoys*
  25. Nice :-S
