I can't help here either, I was a long haired teenager in the early 90's, but used to spend most of my weekends in New Cross at the Venue or The Amersham Arms, or somewhere equally as scuzzy.

El Paso often seems busyier on week nights... I too hope they carry on.

Well transport links are fab for getting to town, or getting to croydon for shopping, or going further afield. Not as many food places as LL, but there's a really good curry house, a nice Chinese, a lovely chippy, plus your usual kebab and pizza type places. There are some shabby places, but it's definitely a place "on the up", and I think the next year or so is the time to buy in Sydenham, because it's going to start getting higher and higher... Also, the houses and buildings in general are nicer, and there are great parks! Oh, and as well as ED, you can also be in Crystal Palace in 5 minutes, and there are loads of bars and food places around there, and one of the best parks in London.

I'm not a home owner, so can't comment on that side of things. However, I did move up to Sydenham about 18 months ago, and it's great. We get much much more space for our rent, and I can enjoy ED as much as anyone living there, I just sit on a bus for 15 minutes, and the same bus will take me home any time of day or night.

REALLY? So, Camberwell is in fact Eltham, and Denmark Hill is Blackheath... Hmm

I'm with Tillie, think The Canning would be a good choice. Bishop is horrific in many ways! Inside 72 would have to reserve the whle bar for us, which they obviosly wouldn't do... Shame because it's ace. If not the Canning, then I'd go with Mark's sugestion... The Uplands isn't the best place in the world, but to be honest, if we get a nice big turn out, it really doesn't matter where we are! How about The Dulwich Woodhouse one day? Bit out the way I know, but it's big, and does (or used to, I haven't been for ages) decent beer. Anyway, as I said, my first choice would be The Canning.

Hi my name is Keef, and I am an EDFer... It started off just being a bit of fun, but it's gotten out of control.

Didn't get to watch it, but he's still not a striker ;-) Starting to worry that Liverpool aren't fireing against teams like Portsmouth and bloody Birmingham... Yesterday should have been 3 points, and if we don't win games like that we're not going to be anywhere near the chase for the title! Arsenal are still doing bloody well, and hats off, but I still don't think they'll be there at the end of the season (for the record, I'd rather it be them than Man U or Chelski, but much as I think he's one of the best coaches in the world, I really don't like Wenger very much).
