  1. I've never really gotten in to I'm a celebrity, but no doubt this year I'll end up watching a fair bit, now that I have no life and no money. I'd rather watch this than Big Brother any day, and am very proud that the last BB went by without me watching a minute of it!
  2. Atila, I personally think that Brazil and Holland were better than France in '98. Look how France progressed through the tournament, it hardly set the world on fire, then they played a final where Brazil were not themselves, and Zidane had a good game. Don't worry mate, I'm not having a dig at Henry, or any other Arsenal player. In fact, the best bit of skill in that tournament was from your very own Dennis.
  3. To be fair, I never saw any scare mongering reports, just heard we were going to have strong winds, which we did. After the whole Michael Fish thing in '87, I guess they're keen to cover themselves.
  4. Thanks Molly. I hope she does grow out of it, but there is eczema on both sides of the family, plus asthma, and hayfever, so I don't like her chances. Mrs Keef has read loads about diet and stuff, was just wondering if anyone had experience of treatments. Will definitely check out that link, so thanks very much!
  5. I don't think that your average member of a Union has much say on how ther union does things. If you disagree, you either get pushed out, or ignored. Most people tow the line, because they're scared not to.
  6. Our daughter has Eczema on her face. Doctor has given us some moisturiser stuff, but just wondered if anyone had any advice or tips. Luckily, it doesn't seem to bother her at all, it just breaks my heart I think.
  7. Mrs Keef works in paediatrics at St Thomas', and was told by several colleagues, including consultants, that there was no way she'd see April. Sure enough, the due date of April 13th came and went, and at 42+2, she finally gave birth 2 days before May, having been induced, with several interventions. People talk a load of shite, just ignore them. Whatever will be, will be.
  8. France wre not the best team in 98.
  9. Just one point that one post made me think of. I think people these days often do a lot of reading and talking, and basically make up their own mind how they want to raise their baby, how often they want to feed it, when they want it to sleep. So, when a HV turns up and contradicts that, you're not going to be impressed. Same HV might say the same stuff to the family next door, and they think it's great because it goes along with what they've already decided.
  10. I've not seen flags of our fathers, must get round to it. He's a miserable gig, but has done some great films, like Unforgiven, and Million dollar baby.
  11. A bit late, but Channel 4, tonight 23:35. Letters from Iwo Jima. Recommended.
  12. Disagree with Argentina, Italy, and France, think England would have a good chance against any of those.
  13. Not really sure what the point was yesterday.
  14. Was there any damage in the ED Hood? Saw a shop front that was boarded up on the corner of Kirkdale, the whole board was blown off.
  15. Hope you feel better soon PGC! I am chuffed, as Fear N' Boozin has managed to book us tickets for England Pakistan at the oval (4th day) next year. Something to look forward to for the summer.
  16. If we're talking about going out with the baby, we did it quite early, she was in the CPT at 11 days! :)-D Mrs Keef has left her with her mum or my mum for an hour or so in the afternoon, but we've yet to go out together in the evening.
  17. Mrs Keef likes the HV who came to see her, as she is an older lady, who is very kind, and seems to know what she's talking about, but also realises that she has limits, rather than just guessing at things. I think this is a problem, a lot of the time, HVs start to believe that they are expert health professionals. When she's been to the clinic to have the baby weighed, she's not been impressed with any of the other HVs she's met.
  18. Did he top himself? I thought he had a heart attack or something.
  19. titch juicy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hang on, everything is surely Maggie t's fault. > We're still clearing up the carnage from her > little party. Sorry, but labour have had enough time to make their mark. Fair enough, things might not be perfect, but there is no excuse for some of their nonsense! I will be equally depressed whoever wins the next election.
  20. Everything is Tony Blair's fault. And in Cameron, we're going to have a carbon copy.
  21. I guess I say it differently to you giggirl. I definitely wouldn't say that I enjoyed it. But I think, and I could be wrong, that the point was to show how nasty capital punishment is.
  22. Our daughter's did a similar thing too. I'd show it to your GP or nurse, but don't worry, it's unlikely to be a big deal.
  23. Wish I could be in the CPT, but it's cans of beer and the x factor for me tonight. Oh dear.
  24. Kel, I'm guessing 28 for you, am I close? I'm 31. Turning 30 didn't bother me at all, but turning 31 somehow felt different, like I was properly in to my 30s.
  25. I think calling someone a little person is a bit rude. Why take such offence and get so wound up, when thir point was fair? Yes you may not want a Subway, but they've done pretty well from themselves, so I'd imagine they know something about where to open shops, and I bet if one were to open on LL, it would do very well.
