Well, I was going to a mate's, but as I've said in the main section, there is a whisper that the CPT might show it, so if this is confirmed, I'll be there, and I'll let you know!

Surely Street Fighter 2, or the first Mortal Kombat!

I'd like to come tonight, but may have to save up brownie points so I can go and watch the boxing tomorrow night...
-
Yeah, I guess with the forum on a break, it was always likely to fall on it's face.
-
And how do you know who to fight once you get there?
-
I'm not an active supporter like Anna anymore (haven't been for years now), but I also don't form my opinions based on the media. I believe Rafa is a good manager, and the owners are terrible for the club. However, I watch the matches, and I question his tactics. Rafa is fighting bad odds and I have sympathy. I do however feel that he is a very stubborn man, and will cut off his nose to spite his face at times.

Er, yeah, I invent things so that I can have a row. I won't deny it, because, as ever, you are so sure of what you say, it is stated as fact, so there is no point diagreeing. What a load of balls! Yes I'd still have a pint with you and sing Birdhouse in your soul. As for the clique thing, I am sorry I mentioned it, but frankly, people saying there is no clique, does not convince me that there is no clique. This is not to say that people mean to be in a clique, and have a secret handshake or anything. Perhaps clique is the wrong word, but there is a certain group, who seem to jump to each other's defence, and defend the "popular" opinion, even if others don't seem to think it's so popular. I think it is a real shame that the person who started this forum, can't really take part in it very much, because it has become so large, they now have to just run it, rather than really enjoying it. I do however think that others (not just you Sean, although you're obviously the worst) take it upon themselves to be the voice of admin at times, even when admin hasn't seemed to have an issue with something. This is not a personal jibe, it is just the way I see things, and if it was taken in to account, everything might just get a bit more chilled out.

Yes, yes it is. I get your point, but I still think it's cliquey, and it's not old ground for me, because I've never said it before. I personally feel that people who used to be really friendly, aren't anymore. Maybe I offended them, maybe not.

Christ on a bike Moos, I hope to God that no one wants this forum to be a representation of what people in ED are like! Okay, BBW, could, on quite regular occasions, go waaaay over the top, and I am another person who had stopped reading TLS's posts altogether, a long time before he was banned. I do however look at this forum now, and think that actually, it's not for everyone at all. In the past, I used to say that there was no clique on here, or certainly not knowingly. These days however, I am probably not so much part of the friendly inner circle, and frankly, the place does stink of cliquiness, again, whether it's knowingly done or not is another matter. I am not here to excuse BBW, or TLS, I genuinely couldn't give a toss either way. I do however think that there is a wider point to be made. This forum seems to be for everyone, just so long as they are a certain sort of person. For ages now, I've not really felt very comfortable on here. That might just be because I'm weird or something, but I don't find it an open welcoming place to anyone who doesn't fit the mould.

The Irish. As an aside, I am no fan of Danyl, I don't think he's as good as Simon makes out. However, it was genuinely uncomfortable viewing watching him the other day, he looked a broken man!
-
It does not give him more credibility, that is a nonsense. What it did do, was allow him the oh so predictable Martyr card, which sure enough, we all woke up to the next day. They should have allowed him to speak on the issues of the day, and that would have been where the real damage could have been done. Basically, what quids said.

Innit!

Right, farewell all, have a nice couple of weeks.

Cruel *bob*, cruel! Although to be fair, I think he plays lead, and bass is something he just messes around with, you know, between, work, family life, lead guitar, and BRING DOWN THE EDF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
John Presscott (who I am a fan of) doing a programme on BBC now about north south divide. I hate programmes like this, they will just interview the usual type of people who will say "soft southerners", "northern monkey", and all that shite! Same as Prezza's programme about class, it's all very outdated, which is his main problem. Shame because he is a good man, and very bright, but such a bloody relic from a time of class and unions, which frankly doesn't exist anymore (for better or worse).

I'm there, and I'll be sure to drag those I know along.

Thinking about it, it was Snorky who hated Bono... Hope it's not him, as I always liked Snorky. That said, I always liked Mike until after he left here and slagged us all off. -
Mine shall be a first and last name, that shall relate to my name here.

Funny that once upon a time, East Dulwich was just a place that led to Penge.

MikeCG (being completely, utterly, and unhealthily obsessed with this forum) has obviously been reading, and has told them that they are being watched, and labelled everyone here "the SMUG BUGABOO PUSHING BASTARDS". So that's told us. Tank Girl thinks it's funny though, so that's sweet. -

Pram pushing threads are great. Started (or at least supported) by the same crowd every time. Defended by the same crowd every time. Bore the same crowd every time, and enjoyed by the same, er, me, every time. It's like repeats of your favourite boxing match. -

I only look at the lounge, and occasionally poke my head round the door of the drawing, and family rooms. There have been times when I've felt it has all gone to shit, and not just because of BBW before anyone says it. I can also genuinely understand the accusations of cliqueiness that have no occasion been levelled. I don't think there is any intention, but if I had first come to this site in the last 12 months, I honestly don't think I'd have been a regular visitor. But who cares about these people anyway, I'm old skool, so fuck 'em. -
Louisa is genuinely one of my favourite posters, but needs new material. Its like Jack Dee's deadpan, it's still kind of funny in a nostalgic way, but not so believable as it used to be. I'm still a fan though Lou.

Wow man, there's a lot of love in the room. This is weird, take 2 weeks away, then come out fighting!
