  1. Really? I was thinking that group looked interesting.
  2. To be fair, when we were there and the unit was closed, it was a bank holiday.
  3. What the hell is with the text speak?!?!?
  4. We never had the option of Kings, it would have been Lewisham if we'd not gotten in to Tommy's. I have to say, I was more nervous about the rush to hospital, than actually watching Mrs Keef give birth! In the end, we were both kind of releived we ended up going for an induction, simply because we knew what was happening, and there was no mad phone calls to taxi firms.
  5. Clare, if they close the home from home, it just means you're put in the normal labour unit, and things like birthing pools probably won't be available. They do not have peolpe screaming in the corridors! I have no opinion on Kings, as we've not had a baby there. However, I do think that one or 2 people have basically made up their minds about it from the off, and never really give it a chance. If it was a bit newer and shinier, I imagine it would be far more popular.
  6. I like G&S for the Nessa and uncle Bryn stuff. The title characters are basically dull, although it has to be said that Stacey is very pretty! Smithy was funny when it started, but he's boring now. The randy old lady who lives next door to Stacey's mum is great too.
  7. Very good point Simon, would be nice for an athlete to get some recognition.
  8. Genuinely nothing to do with it. As I've said before, I was not in to footy at all as a kid, didn't get in to it until I was over 16, and didn't get really in to it until I moved to Liverpool. As a result, I remember Hughes more as a veteran player for Chelsea. I just think he's a c**t, what more can I say.
  9. Fear 'n boozin Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > He has as much as any other on the list. I didn't see him punch the head off any cardboatd cutouts of opponents. Now that is personality.
  10. My point exactly! Although I am hoping to get there for a couple now...
  11. I don't have a problem with Button, I just don't think he, or any other F1 driver has a great deal of "personality".
  12. My top 3 David Haye - He is a personality, he goes too far sometimes, but it's good to have a world class British Heavyweight. Andrew Strauss - Won the Ashes without his best batsman, and with his star allrounder only half fit. Led from the front with his batting. Jessica Ennis - The girl done good (and it's in her hometown). Much as I love footy, I don't really like footballers to win this. Football is totally a team game, whereas Cricket is about individuals as well as the team. So sorry Ryan Giggs, although I do have to take my hat off to you.
  13. Agree Wenger could have been more gracious, but there is something about Hughes that I find really really dislikeab;e! He's an arrogant c**t, and IO can't wait til they sack him for a "big name" manager!
  14. Bear in mind that if they are short staffed when you go, Tommys sometimes close the home from home entirely.
  15. Santerme & Quids, good stuff, I'm with you. Y'Man = Troll Silverfox = Worrying.
  16. To be fair, I've lost a load of really close friends, because they've moved away for work, or gone abroad, kids are not the only reason people leave London. They do stop[ you getting down the pub though, little sh!ts.
  17. Don't think things like ~"Stay another day" can be included, it was a Christmas Number 1, it is not a Christmas song. I am with Jeremy, Macca can feck off and have a wonderful christmas somewhere far far away from me and my ears!
  18. My old man taught me pub etiquette, and if you can't get yourself a couple of beers in, you don't go out. We'll see how it goes.
  19. And smoking at the bar.
  20. JD,Havana club (7 years), Tequila and Heiniken. Sorted.
  21. I was keen to come along and check out the bar, but doubt the finances will allow it.
  22. Even Babur isn't that special IMO. Yes the meat seems much much better quality, but I found it disappointing in general.
  23. I think if you order any of the classic dishes, it is much the same wherever you go. I always look for the house specials.
  24. I wanted a gunners win for my dad today. Annoyed.
  25. I went to the docs on Friday for a different jab, but as I have asthma, I ended up getting flu and swine flu, as well as the one I went for. The swine flu one did seem to hurt a bit more, and for the first day, I couldn't lift my arm very much without quite a bit of pain. Now, 2 days later, it just hurts if you touch it, like the area is bruised, although there are no visible signs. The nurse who did it said it had taken about a week for the discomfort to stop totally. A friend of mine just picked up Swine Flue whilst working abroad, and I saw him at the tail end of it. Believe me, I'd rather put up with a bit of soreness in my arm for a few days, than go through that!
