  1. Plus they were the best team around that season. I think Man U have had better seasons, when they've been more up against it. in 1999, no one was really going to touch them. (f**kers)

What have I missed? *bob*'s first post on this thread cracked me up. However, Rage DO rock! They did indeed reform a while back, and headlined Reading (I think it was Reading), but in typical, and really rather annoying, RAGE fashion, they refused to have their set filmed, so there was no footage on TV. I heard an awsome cover of "Killing in the name" this year, by a friend of a friend's band, rolled back the years to being 15 in the New Cross Inn. :)-D As an aside, Simon Cowell was on Newsnight talking about a political debate, with public vote on specific topics, kind of show. He is a clever man, but it is so so sad, that this would actually be a storming success in todays UK.
  3. A musician was once telling me about a fellow band member who had decided he no longer wanted to play, but rather get in to the sound tech side of things. He described it as "Like giving a starving dog a rubber bone". I always liked that.
  4. Isn't it funny how Mick thinks the Celtic acheivement is best, Sandperson thinks it's the Man U treble, and Atila thinks it was the Arsenal unbeaten run... What teams do you guys support again? ;-) PS. Mick I was only joking with my last post, Inter clearly were not a poor team, I just knew you'd bite.
  5. Basically, what PGC and Sean said. That is not "bleeding heart liberal", it's just not being a psycho. I support his right to chase them, I understand, and pretty much support him wanting to give them a dig, but smashing a solid wooden bat over someone's skull, that is a bit mentalist in my book.

  7. So what you're saying Mick, is that Celtic played a really poor Inter team that night?
  8. First time Mrs Keef was pregnant, we told too many people about it, and I did mention names we'd considered, to various friends. Sure enough, baby never made it, which was fecking horrible, but fortunately, we'd never really started associating a name directly with it. Next time, we were much more secretive, until much later on, and like Lorraine, we had a nickname for the unborn baby, which is still used. However, as soon as she was born, and we were told it was a girl, we agreed that she should have the name we'd both always liked... Had things been different, then the first baby may have been given that name (had it been a girl), but I don't feel like we'd already given it, so felt fine using it.
  9. A terrible film overall, it is worth watching for one scene. Dude where's my car, Chinese drive through.
  10. Why give her jewellery, it's not like she's ever going to get to go out again. *puts on tin hat and runs away giggling*

  12. In terms of iconic moments, I'd say the twisting scene with John Travolta & Uma Thurman. Everywhere you went around that time, people were doing the eye move on the dancefloor! http://www.siqueart.com/graphics/corner/pulp_fiction_dance.jpg
  13. LOL >:D

That and the fact that the southern vote will have been split between Stacy and Ollie, whilst Joe would have had everyone North of Watford voting for him. Stacy wasn't amazing, but I still thought she was more interesting than any of the others, they are all just bland bland bland.
  15. A soppy one from me, loved this film, and love this song.
  16. That is one of my favourite all time films, and you're right, that scene is amazing!
  17. Some classics already mentioned. Some lighthearted ones from me; 1. Babysitting Blues, from Adventures in babysitting; 2. , Cool Runnings; 3. Coming to America - Barbershop.
  18. Many happy returns!
  19. Thanks, I feel all warm inside now.
  20. Genius, absolute genius!!!! This thread is awesome, I share the world with some really, really special people!

  23. Sounds lovely. I shall tell Mrs Keef about this. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it, as I shall be getting ready for a gig of my own.
  24. Excellent post from Tulip (lots better than the whole "get over it" affair). I have every symapthy for anyone who has a horror story, but to then say that X hospital is bad as a result of that experience is a nonsense. To be truthful, I could tell you all a horrific story about Mrs Keef's experience st St Thomas', which she has had to speak to a specialist counsellor/midwife about since. There were one or 2 abrupt/rude midwives, and she was left alone for extended times, and loads of stuff. However, there were also some great staff, and we ended up with a lovely baby, and she chooses to try and look at the whole thing as rather a positive experience.
