One od Rafa's greatest moves, removing thr most vile managers in the game from the league.

Gutted I missed 99 after spending all of last night blowing up those bloody balloons!
  4. Snowing in East London.
  5. I used to think that, but not so much since I got married and realised how bloody difficult it is trying to limit numbers! Besides, the day bit and the meal is fecking boring, the evening is when the drinking and dancing happens, much more fun! :)-D
  6. Just noticed there is a Video Game Awards 2009 on "FIVER" at 9 tonight. Thought you guys might be interested.
  7. Sorry BB, I got that the wrong way round. Was meaning we didn't spend much, but having reread your post, I think I totally missed your point.

No "Hugs" then? ;-) I don't think anyone on this thread has been soft or liberal about this, and noone has shown sympathy for the twat who got beat up. People have just said that he went too far. I can't stand all this "if someone done that to me, I'd fecking 'av 'em", because frankly it's macho bollix, which I suspect would never be backed up, and hopefully the situation will never arise!
  9. Lucky you! Wonder if they've made changes since I had it, because everyone I've spoken to who had it at that time had real discomfort after.
  10. Well that's me & Mrs Keef done for then.
  11. I think this is the whole point though. As I said before, had he gotten hold of the bat, DURING the horrible situation in the house, then it would be totally excusable. However, rather than calling the police, and being with his family, the bloke went mental and smashed a person's head in with a bloody cricket bat, I mean, come on! Yes I feel sorry for the guy, and I don't know what I'd do in that situation (neither does ANYONE on here), but I like to think, if I went after someone, I'd give them a dig, not brain damage. I love the following comment at the end of the article. Well, er, yeah. I fucking hate the way the word "Justice" is thrown about in this country by idiots. Oh and Quids, I'd love to get hold of the kid who spat in my face, and yes, I'd love to slap him about a bit if I'm honest. I don't want to do lasting damage, or kill him.
  12. Absolutely spot on!!!
  13. Did you have a fist fight in the street once he'd stopped?
  14. I don't think the comparisons to royal mail have no merit. Machines that can make the sorting of post a lot quicker and more efficient, but will cost a few jobs... I think Mr Ben has it right there. However, I have sympathy with the royal mail workers, I don't with the BA workers. It also effects passengers of lots of other airways aswell if I am not mistaken, as BA Staff deal with baggage and stuff like that.
  15. Yeah, and you can ride alongside buses whilst angrily bashing the window! (Old one for SP there ;-))
  16. East Dulwich (Whateley Road) Liverpool (Childwall - 1 year) Liverpool (Wavertree - 4 years) Hindhead (Devil's Punchbowl) East Dulwich (Whateley Road) East Dulwich (Barry Road) Sydenham (right by the station) Sydenham (about equal distance to walk to either Forest Hill, or Sydenham stations)
  17. Nah, you're alright. :)) We'd better spend them soonish though, as they do expire after a certain time.
  18. Spot on DaveR! If this had been in the house, and he'd managed to grab the bat, and took a swing at the intruder in order to possibly save his and his families lives, that would be completely understandable. However, he picked up the bat, and set off with it as a weapon. I don't have sympathy with the intruders, but my sympathy for this bloke is limited because he went WAY too far! Anyone who thinks he didn't, try smashing a cricket bat against a brick wall, and see how easily it breaks.

Put this in as 87, although it could skip a few if you like. http://images.uulyrics.com/cover/g/guns-n-roses/album-live-era-87-93.jpg

  21. I miss all the good threads!!! Pretty much with *bob* on this one, have never been one for all the hi-fi nonsense. It's just macho shite IMO.
  22. PS. Sorry to come to this so late, I on;y read it today as Sean said it kicked off a bit.
  23. I am shocked reading this. I have given ?50 to friends getting married, and thought myself very generous. I now see that I am a skinflint! When we got married, we said we didn't want anything, but certain family members just wouldn't let it go, so we just asked for Argos vouchers (classy I know), most of which we still have over 2 years later. Personally, I don't like wedding lists, and if I ever get one with an invite, I make a point of ignoring it, and either giving nothing, or just buying them a voucher. Doing music for friend's weddings is a cheap way to give a gift, although you miss half the drinking time, so it has it's drawbacks!
  24. It would appear so, but I'm off to read them now!
