  1. That is just it, I don't look at it as his team. I see it as him inheriting a great young team, then f**king it up. To be fair, finances obviously came in to it, but still, he believes his own hype, and that is always a bad sign for a manager.
  2. Fair enough, but not many in Leeds' current squad were born in the days of Dirty Leeds. Different manager, different chairperson, probably lots of new fans...
  3. Yep, before I was born, although I have seen highlights from that final. Still, twas a long time ago, surely people don't feel that way towards todays Leeds. That would be like saying Arsenal play boring boring football, and Liverpool are world beaters.
  4. Are Leeds really universally loathed? I always quite liked them until that twat O'Leary took charge. I basically feel about him, how I feel about Neil Warnock.
  5. Hmm, suddenly the early morning work seems to have lost some sheen.
  6. Oh Piersy, I'll always see you as a geeky English boy.
  7. Ha ha, touche! Which is a good point, if Liverpool ever get the new ground, I imagine it will be a sponsored nightmare. Can Matt or Anna (I'm sure you still read) tell me?
  8. 3 Wickets from 8 balls. Nice.
  9. Rather a good start to the mornings play.
  10. Man U lose, and first response is a shot at Liverpool. What a shocker.
  11. Nothing particularly mouth watering about the 4th round tie IMO. Just thankful the pool just about managed to be in it! Very well done Leeds, and not just as a dig at United, it was a fine performance.
  12. The thing that makes me most scared of not drinking, is the fear that life will be unbearably dull. That is very sad, I know, but true.
  13. You wew too young for Dr Who, but you watched Day of the triffids?
  14. Bloody hell people, you are getting something for nothing, stop bloody moaning! If you miss your date, you can still get your pass, they just ask you to do it at a certain time to make their lives a bit easier, as we are talking thousands of people here! I used to sit near the team who did the passes for Greenwich, when I worked for their social services, and believe me, they were unbelievably busy at renewal time!
  15. I'll probably drink too much.
  16. LOL
  17. I don't mind it if it speeds up the whole process.
  18. ???? Yes probably. Like I say, they're all shite. BUT, I wasn't talking so much about the readers, more the actual stuff printed in the papers. I'm not sure (and I may be wrong) that you'll see the term "daily mail readers" printed in the guardian, whereas the mail does print things like; That is just agressive for no reason. I was outraged, and I'm just a normal bloke, and have never been trendy in my life!
  19. I don't read the papers anymore, because they are basically all shite, including the Guardian, Observer, and Indie. However, The Mail, is special in it's ability to be everything that I hope this country isn't. I love the fact that before making any kind of "argument", they just say things like "the bleeding heart liberals" and stuff like that. Meaning, that anyone who disagrees with them is a bleeding heart liberal. It's like saying "before all ou nazis pipe up about this and that...". As an aside, what I found especially disturbing about this case (unless I have it wrong) was that he didn't know he was to be executed until the day before, when his family had to tell him he'd be dead the next day. That can't be right can it? As another, and far more important aside, sports pages in broadsheets are just plain wrong aren't they.
  20. I'm not sure you have to actually apply for a renewal, I just got a letter saying I automatically get a renewal, so would be hearing from them soon. I imagine the older persons pass should be the same. Surely it's just the descretionary ones that should have to reapply isn't it?
  21. Many happy returns!!!
  22. Not sure he ever claimed it was to be fair.
  23. I only watched the second part last night. I loved it, it was silly TV, and great fun. Izzard totally overacting, cheesy love story, the dad dies just when they've buried their differences. Class!!!!
  24. Feeling gutted about not being able to go out, but then realising that you're much happier indoors with some cans and a joint. Hating bands like Arctic Monkeys. Being able to finally afford the guitar you want, but looking to bald and fat to look cool with it.
  25. The book is great, as was the the (now very dated) 70s version. But I still don't see why people don't like this one? I think it's been done well.
