  1. "The Moustache" is too broad a term. Some are cool, some are the opposite IMO.

    Myth Busters

I always enjoyed this site, for reading about myths and urban legends.
  3. I've always liked Dawsons Heights, especially at night when lit up. A friend of my dad's jumped to his death, but can't remember if it would have been 80s or early 90s. Jah Lush and I discussed this a couple of years ago when we first met, after another thread on this forum about the place. With regards the burial mound, they used to say Hornimans (sand pit side) was used as a burial ground after the plague, but I believe that is just myth too.
  4. I was stopped at Lewisham station a couple of years back. Had nothing naughty on my person, but the dog picked up on my ventolin inhaler. About half hour they had me standing there whilst going through my bag, my coat and my wallet. Then when it became obvious it was the inhaler that had alerted the dog, the bloke said "yeah they're really good these dogs". Not good enough to tell the difference between ventolin and weed obviously! I did laugh recently though, when a friend of a friend got stopped at London Bridge, and was found with one pill on him, whilst his mate walked straight through with a bag full of them, that he would be dealing that evening. Sometimes life is unfair.

    100s

To get so much out of such a hollow victory. Tsk. I wonder if Maradonna felt so good after the 86 world cup quarter final.
  6. Very difficult in my experience, but guess they can work with effort on both sides. If you can't be bothered with the effort, that basically tells you something about how much you really like the person.
  7. Another Friday vote here. Then sleep it off, fry up, sit in pub watching footy and see what happens on Saturday. I don't get to actually do this that often now either.
  8. Sorry for late reply. No, it was on a Clapton album called "No reason to cry". Someone gave me a load of old vinyl albums, when I was a teenager, and this was in the pile. Don't know what it is about this song, but I have loved it since I first heard it. I'm not really a huge Dylan (or Clapton for that matter) fan, but I love Sign Language.
  9. It did look like he had over size gloves on. Amazing solo effort.
  10. Forget Rafa and owners, players need to step up for the pool!
  11. A tainted achievment being that it took 3 posts.
  12. Sign Language, which he duetted with Clapton.
  13. If only Smith had gone early this morning when there was a very good shout (the over before Prince went I think). KP number 1 batsman in the world. Remember that?
  14. I remember watching a great fight between Eubank & Thompson (the first one) in there, that was a good night. Not been to the Montpellier, but other than that, I'd agree with that. I have absolutely no beef with any of the people involved, but just really hope it doesn't become another Bishop (lots of people disagree with me, but I just can't make myself like the place!)! Doubt it will, as it's not on such a busy road.
  15. Quite, I did think the same thing, but being that this is all over the news, I'm not 100% sure. This country loves stuff like this, remember the Louise Woodward case, loads of muppets walking round with yellow ribbons on! Made me want to smash my head against a brick wall, so as not to have to share air with these people anymore!
  16. I couldn;'t believe it this morning, when I got this email (to my work account) Makes me hope they throw away the key! Sorry, bit harsh, but I hate stuff like that.
  17. Oh Great. They'll probably tear out all the beautiful wood work as well as the soul from the place.
  18. I was only jesting Jah. Although no smoke without fire, and Harry always seems to have smoke around him when it comes to this sort of thing. I am a fan of hos though and don't really care what he gets up to.
  19. Innocent because he'll bribe the right people.
  20. This was a truly dire fixture last year, met friends in a pub in town for it, and wished I'd not bothered! I think that was the scoreline too, we definitely didn't win, may have been a draw. For some reason it didn't attach itself to my memory banks!
  21. Only read the beginning, but it reminded me of when I was a student on placement before I qualified. A job came up where I was doing my placement, and a nice lass in the office said to me "make sure you mention the minority groups in your interview, they like that". I asked what they were, and she said; Women Ethnic minorities Homosexuals Elderly Disabled So basically, EVERYONE who wasn't a straight white bloke without a disability. I think the word "minorities" may have been somewhat misunderstood there.
  22. Not sure what my thoughts on last night are, other than that we can't really complain (despite bit of a soft penalty to equalise). I am somewhere between Mick and Anna on this. I do blame the owners, and lack of funding. Look what Rafa has sold as well as what he has spent. I do however have issues with Rafa's style of play at times, and he is a stubborn old goat at times, refusing to change things til it's too late. I wish Anna would come on here again, as I saw her last week, and she had some interesting things to say, which I didn't know. Interesting they said that a poll on the pool website asking what fans would prefer, FA Cup or Europa League. FA came out comfortably on top apparently. I'd tend to agree, although it might be nice to win a "new" cup for the first time... Not that we look likely to win anything. One thing Anna said to me which I found striking, was that she fears we'll be the next Leeds! ... Although at least we might beat United if that was the case! ;-)
  23. I'm interested to try the new 3D, but suspect I'll have the same problem I used to. One eye being a lot stronger than the other, meant that basically it was just like watching a film through a red filter (Or whichever colour covered the right eye). Sometimes it would work a bit, but generally it was just crap. Suspect I'll have the same again, but may well give it a go just to see... (or not as the case may be)
  24. Agree, although Froch must be gutted, he'd have been going in to it thinking he could get another belt, now all the risk is his.
  25. Oh dear! I'd love to see him hang up his gloves after a great victory in a classic fight, but just can't see it happening. He'll either beat a nobody, or get beat by someone good... That said, I'd love to see him get fit and knock out Khan!
