How can having a first as opposed to a 2.1 (or a 2.2 or 3rd) not set you apart? Unless it doesn't mean anything, but then why invent a meaningless distinction? A degree is awarded on more than attendence; it's not about what work you're set but the work you turn in. Life skills and experience, yes, of course they make a difference, but that's a different point altogether.

You have to wear the special EDF moustache and hat. Or, failing that, we're usually the biggest group in the place. And there are pictures of past drinks up on flickr so you can have a peek and then maybe recognise people from there.

I may be wrong, but I though by first degrees in XYZ I though Max meant that these people had a degree in whatever, and then went on to study for a further degree in physio.
