I shall write on the back of my postcard that -ize is actually the 'correct' spelling of many English words, and that the blanket use of -ise is merely a widely-accepted alternative. Now, is that on-topic or off? ;) -
I'm with Sean on this one. It needs sorting out, but I don't think another Palmerston would be a good idea. (Not that I don't like the Palmerston; we just don't really need another one.)

I remember once, back in school, someone formed a band called something very much like Electric Yoghurt. They were very excited about the name. I wasn't quite as impressed.

I once more-or-less sort-of formed a band with my brother and the girl next door. It was so short-lived that it never even had a name. There was one song, though, and if I remember correctly it was called Crystal Tears. Oh dear...

It does seem like a nice idea, but I agree with Nero's point. You could easily add something like 'no whizzing past a red light and through the crowd of people who are trying to cross the road' for a start. Btw, I think the having lights fitted is already covered by the highway code. -
Caitlin Moran wrote a good piece about this a while back... how the YMs are all naming their kids after Victorian under-parlour maids, harking back to some largely-imagined past idyll, whereas the single teenage mums on benefits were opting for more aspirational names... tried to find it online but have sadly failed. Woe is me.
