  1. all imj trying to say is... taht seans manner of arguing AGAINST all religion is utterly disrespectful. i am open to new ideas, and a religion is dictated by belief. atheism is such a religion. i know little and (to be honest have never had a real interest) in scientology so sean maybe you can tell me a little more about it?

    Hello

my name is dave, and i sure behave, like an overgrown brat, oh sure what a twat, but i never even noticed, your silent signs of protest, since a name is a name, and i am what i am, i never lied! I'll tell you twice, i just claimed my name was slightly nice, but yet again, i hear you exclaim, that this thread is nought but a game, you are right! aloud i cry! i shout my words, loud and wide, but still, my name and my title remain, always, forever, nowt but the same!!! still dont want to be a dave, and fairly glad im not. no offence to all the dave's david's davey's and the like out there!
  3. there shouldnt even be a question. the fact that there is makes me wonder if there's any hope left for this world/country/city/area? it is not only us who have these problems. ours are miniscule in comparison to some others. look at africa, where u have military groups killing and raping villages at a time. do we have this problem? should they stand up and fight. no and yes i believe, they are most likely to lose their lives in such a fight, but living for a few years in complete fear and persecution, is no life at all. we are only a few short steps away from organized crime, at the moment it is sorely unorganized. if on ever road we walked down, we knew, that if any trouble arose, we would not be standing alone. We would have strangers, friends and locals defending our cause. it is a fight, but it is more like a political statement. the politicians and police force can and do do nothing. no offence to them, their position on a matter, is to punish any anti social behaviour! we HAVE to stand up and be counted... 1.....2.....3.....4
  4. look, all you people are trying to do, is compell otherstoward your own belief. the idea of belief is unique to an individual and, although religion cannot be proven it should be accepted. yet some of you think in terms of "i havent seen an alien, so they do NOT exist" well, who says otherwise? and if you try and find out you get a legal fight spanning years to extradite you to the US, who in this case know more than anyone, and cover up what should or should not be seen as "good evidence". back to god, i havent seen him lately, have you? no, because A, you don't believe. B because if there was a god, he would turn your whole world around, just by his existence, and C because you of course, KNOW BEST. through long and hard judgement, based on the facts... the problem with judging gods existence, is that... THERE ARE NO FACTS.
  5. the bank statements are too... correct?
  6. atheism IS the belief that there is no god. if you dont care enough to decide. then that im pretty sure, would not be considered atheist
  7. please mate! dont shut us down, we are completely legitimate! we are actually a womans brothel, serving men, to women. you've got us all wrong! and the men arent all russian... :( sorry i couldnt help myself... good luck with your campaign!
  8. HEAR HEAR! charliecharlie. spot on! graffiti is far from a "pathetic attempt at visibility". how could it be so when 99.9% of graffiti artists attempt to remain INvisible, and stay "under the radar" so to speak. look along te train tracks on your way to work, look at that dusty white van on the shopping street corner, look at this art we display with such DISDAIN! such would not be of picasso, or van gogh, except if they were still alive??? we must not kill off graffiti artists, and/or make them waste their lives away in prison, if someone cannot draw, do we take away their paper? such is the way of the so called "pathetic attempt at visibility" it is practice, and the majority of artists will paint over the old works.
  9. you dont even have faith in your own ability to believe. believing in religion is NOT wrong, or false, or even down to lack of knowledge. "Not believing in a made up/nothing to support it/ is not a faith" now this is just pathetic, as every single person has the right to unique belief, and i think every single person should have respect for it. to ridicule peoples beliefs so blatantly, is shameful, and i really hope you are just over-reacting as this is an online forum, and if you were face to face with someone of strong BELIEFS one way or another, you would not act the same. i call myself an atheist, which may also be know as a non-believer, but i do not HAVE PROOF, or even CONSIDER myself to have proof. i only BELIEVE i am correct in my assumptions that there is no god. it is simply only a matter of respect, and if you see faith in such a light, please call yourself "faithless" not atheist, it won't fit you at all
  10. each to their own eh? i understand the horrific potential one is faced with when standing up for themselves or others. but how has this fear and sense of power (to those who would put you in such a position) arisen? by people standing up for themselves? not really. throughout history people have been trampled on, whilst others do the trampling. in one way or another, we would all eventually do this to a person, possibly without realising (most likely in a less severe situation lets hope). but isnt life about standing up for what you find "right" and what you believe "worthy" of such a cause? it is hard to determine such situations as the many stabbings, and shootings, and whether in such an instance, one would stand up for themselves or others... but without doing so, surely the situation/s will only get worse?
  11. it is as much a faith to believe no god exists, as to believe one does. it takes little explanation to show the fact that althought i do not believe in there being a god i still have fully considered the possibility and should continure to show (with interest) a great curiosity in the topic. thus i am faithless? this makes little sense
  12. seanmacgabhann... Atheism is indeed a faith. to believe in no god, is just as important to peoples lives as to believe in a, (or many) god/s exists. I have always held utmost respect for religion, growing up with friends of all sorts of faith, christianity, sikhism, judaism, islam, and buddhism. Atheism is a faith, a faith in which i personally view humanities pros and cons with unlimited judgement. i agree, that many people live life with the idea of god, benefiting them limitlessly, helping them achieve the unachivevable. this is almost a spiritual connection i see with these people, but at the same time there are mass killings in the name of god. nearly every religion has had wars over their beliefs and faiths. (atheists of course have too tried to spread their beliefs in this manner). i believe the only way we can all truly accept & respect each others beliefs and cultures would be to completely disconcern ourselves from the idea of having the "correct" faith. i grew up with a fairly religious mother, who did not bring any of her children fully into her faith, yet i am still inclined to use terms like "god bless" without even noticing. and i genuinely feel that in one way or another it helps her (whether it is her believing it, or it is there) i know it matters to people, and i know it may well exist. i think this amongst other areas of (my own personal - i can't speak for some of you) common courtesy. thank you. and as far as im concerned thats atheism, extremist atheism may well exist in the terms you are thinking, it is a faith indeed.

    Hello

"Hello, my names dave, whats yours? how are you?"
  15. some people can simply not understand the difference. food sprayed with POISONS, and chemicals, or food without? come on! this stuffs feeding you and your family! if the prices weren't different... non-organic food even sell?
  16. WHY!? todays great thinkers are right here! on this amazing forum! We ALL in east dulwich know this! i am living proof! >:D<
  17. (sorry this forum placed this post somewhere else, i can only EDIT, not delete.) (p.s i think if you are all completely honest, it is all rather ridiculous, extradition is too far, america and guantanamo bay should both be shut down as part of a new UN peace treaty. until this happens... it will be anyone they can find to make an example of.)
  18. the original question was simple... this is slipping into CERTAIN PEOPLE clearly trying to encourage their ideas upon others. this should not be permitted, as Atheism, in itself is a religion, at least in my eyes, i hold deep respect for religion. i am still surprised how wars can be waged for such a name... and as my mother would say... "goodnight, god bless"
