  1. ooh, touch typing, show off ;-P But a pleasure. RC thought it was a panto by the looks of things. I went to one the other day, no dame and no smutty jokes, very disappointed!!
  2. sublime mid 90s guitarry pop, oh Britpop, why did you overshadow some of those who were actually rather good?! Swervedriver - birds
  3. Fine, I'll live in a tent in Antarctica and eat only penguin*, thus avoiding any guilt by association for any wrongdoing ever committed by anyone whatsoever. Meanwhile, back in the real world.... *though I may be upsetting the Brahman there...ok ok, snow it is.
  4. Snoopy Loopy Class!!! There's only one thing I've ever learnt about horse racing. Never bet on the one in Dulwich Hamlet colours.
  5. "it's the fact that pretty much all of us are responsible for ..." Speak for yourself, my vote tried to stop that shower of shag sacks in '97, '01 AND '05!! Those I did vote for voted against the war thengyouverymuch!! Unless you mean in a more general I-consume-therefore-I-tacitly-approve-of-neo-imperialism fashion; which might be just a tad unfair?
  6. Me got mum in the sticks to order goose. She's bringing it down tomorrow. Mwahah...etc
  7. Ewwwww http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7795050.stm 500 tonnes of turkey fat...nice.
  8. Aha, Catch 22 non?
  9. "police or the government and not the people" Eh? And who pays for them? Or do you mean out of their wages? Now I'm with you on that one!! Could you imagine what a great precedent that would set, if all politicians who voted for the war actually had to hand over 80% of their income and directorships to pay for the extra injury compensation, for the separate health care injured soldiers require, for the equipment they should have been issued with? Now we're talking :)
  10. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=haGoIVO-EE0 "What, trade up? From Jennifer Anniston? She's untradeuppable assshole, she's like a cotton-candy Cadillac driven by Abraham Lincoln with beard of diamonds!"
  11. I don't know, he's got a fair point, just because an operation occurs in your part of town, it seems a tad unfair that a local authority has to foot the bill. ?1 million will be a hefty dent in Southwark's budget. Mind you I thought Stockwell was in Lambeth, in which case it's totally fair, no skin off my nose guv, can the council provide some more PCSOs and invest in our schools please?
  12. "And spend-spend-spend this Christ-Christmas" Is that Gordon Brown's proposed Christmas single? ;)
  13. I thought he was basically a fantasist and it was all supposed to be in his head anyway? Once someone told me that I didn't find it nearly as difficult, and the weird obsessions are quite funny.
  14. I lived up there for a while and had many a potter tell me that proudly. Slim pickings for claims-to-fame up there you see. Nice town though.
  15. As in from Stoke-on-Trent.
  16. I always understood Slash to be a Potter?
  17. I stand corrected, errr, by myself. http://icc-cricket.yahoo.com/rankings/rankings.html
  18. I thought India was generally considered the team of the moment.
  19. Who played Red Sonja in the eponymous film? Brigitte Nielsen.
  20. I dunno, Red Sonja was probably a bit parky if it got chilly, and the practicality of her armour was far from ideal.
  21. Any excuse to show this Football Football Football "Coming up mid week the Giants of Charlton play host to the the titans of Ipswich, making them both seem normal sized!"
  22. I haven't but do intend to. May go picture book shopping today as it goes.
  23. Ooh, I love Neil Gaiman too, though I'm pretty sure all his books are basically the same story retold slightly differently, I can honestly say I don't mind. Also quite like China Mieville who introduced me to the quote (though not originally his): "Yes 90% of science-fiction is shit, but then 90% of everything is shit"
  24. It is a bit rubbish though, go on admit it. But no seriously, well done for topping 3 teams noone's ever head of ;-P Frustrating game for the Hammers, better side throughout, but even with Bellamy playing well you just don't feel goals coming. We'll be in a relegation fight for sure. On the plus side for Martin O'Neill, playing badly and winning is a mark of champions; Villa to break the stranglehold on the premiership of the big 4? I doubt, but it's a nice thought.
