I bought series 1 on DVD a bit ago, and the main difference is that there were more than 5 people in MI5 apparently back then. It is great entertainment, but the daft quotient has gone through the roof. And I'm sorry, but the final episode was one very long run down a corridor to stop [add bad thing happening here]. Bad thing could have been my hamster dying or the sky falling in; the fact that it was a really big bad thing didn't stop the endless corridor from being a bit dull frankly.

I think it would have been much better if it had been a classic middle england couple a la Hyacinth Bucket, armed with scones and a cheery demeanour, admiring the state of curtains. That would have been far creepier.
