  1. Get your war on
  2. Really had no idea where to post this, so this thread'll do. Brilliant from Better Evan than Odd...
  3. "Anyone got the new Elbow album?" Got it today at Sainsbury's for a reasonable ?9.77 (shhh don't tell the missus, that's 3 and a half canap?s). Rather enjoying it so far, probably a grower but it wibbles along at a good pace. No standout tracks so far, but it's all rather tight with that trademark sound toned down a squidgin giving it a slightly laid back feel. Ooh just got to Richard Hawley on The Fix (track 8), Hawley and Elbow is a great combination!!
  4. I petered out around 20 and my colleague bumped me up to 49. Science was along time ago for me too.

  10. Is there a straight news story on the Mash today? Scouring the independent, this one is ridiculous enough to be plausible, otherwise no luck so far. http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/airline-hiring-actors-for-flights-faces-fine-803156.html
  11. I've liked the Encyclopedia of Decency for a while, but this has to be one of his best posts: Muscular Liberals
  12. My god, it's uncanny.
  13. I'll have a quick swizz on t'internet for you, already found some that looked suspiciously commercial. Whatever, I'd say get the ball rolling, you don't have to commit until you're on that plane after all, and nothing ventured nothing gained. I know they've got a points system like Australia, but I reckon the property would definitely work in your favour, somewhere to live AND a nice chunk of capital under your belt. I went to Toronto and Montreal, and though I preferred the former, I just loved Canada full stop and would consider moving there. Have a few Canadian friends living in the area round here and they're a great bunch, Huguenot even married one. Mind you they're all over here, don't know what that says....probably that the grass is always greener ;-) It's a VERY different pace of life to London though.
  14. I guess the Canadian Consulate or the immigrations service would be your first port of call. I had a friend who wanted to move to canada after going there (I was there on the same trip, great place) but he and his missus found the immigration process somewhat troublesome. He now lives in New Zealand.

  17. I have to say this made me feel better about our defeat this weekend "the wrath of god melts your face" and this one was genius "The giants of charlton play host to the titans of ipswich...making them both seem normal size" *edited as hyperlinking acting weirdly

  19. Cheers MP. Ooh, and try venturing into a bank in Camden at lunchtime or attempting to do anything at the Spanish Consulate (opening times 9-12 monday to friday, queues all the way around Sloane Sq...ish)
  20. I'm not even in East Dulwich!!
  21. Awww thanks so much, I'm genuinely touched, but this is my final week at the old place followed by a week on the Xbox and picking up passports/opening bank accounts and other stuff you can't normally do while at work. You haven't got rid of me just yet!! (*hands begin to shake just at the thought of forum withdrawal*)
