  2. FT has its say http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/f13b8e88-bcad-11dc-bcf9-0000779fd2ac.html?nclick_check=1 Nooo mention of our bit at all :(
  3. That piqued my curiosity mean and medians broken down by parliamentary constituency http://www.statistics.gov.uk/downloads/theme_labour/ASHE_2007/2007_work_pc.pdf 30k mean is almost spot on for Tessa's constituency. Nationally it's 24k mean, 19k median.
  4. back in the distant past.. "@kk - you should try Buddha Jazz (terrible name I know) on Grove lane, other side of dog kennel hill by the george. It's an eastern fusion place with thai, vietnamese & japanese. very friendly and jolly nice. Yeah SE5, but not very far away." No hello neither, but then I think I knew 5 out of 8* people on it at the time ;) *That's actual numbers rather than a fraction ;-)
  5. blimey, great macro. I like the fact it has a fashionesque soft focus about it too! "Jimmeny is sporting this season's hottest greens..."
  6. Tee wonderful Unden Byen Plantage
  7. just to annoy keef. Mate, get it soon before you end up loathing it. It really is that good. Mrs Mockney is a complete confirmed addict. http://www.chromewaves.net/?itemid=2884
  8. well howdy, though just coming on is usually greeting enough, I wouldn't worry BC.
  9. worthless egomaniacal little sh1t, I hope he ends up at Dagenham & Redbridge.
  10. On a monday, dear god you two are hardcore!! How's F'n'B' today, 2 parts self-loathing to one part fear?
  11. You should go up north, it's a point of pride there, no hugging themselves or looking cold. I do wonder how they manage when I've got a hat, scarf and gloves on a night out on the Tyne, and they're wandering around happily in underwear. I'm guessing copious amounts of Bacardi Breezer helps.
  12. ?! Que? And the problem?
  13. It's nice to see someone prototype a concept and you can immediately think of tons and tons of applications. I hope so Brendan, in fact I don't see why it couldn't be done on the Wii.
  14. likewise benjaminty, i was inhumanly human for a monday. likewise i have a wedding on saturday which is going to be a loooong old ride without the magic booze.
  15. quality bagpuss! You've got to love the seaside for that dark underbelly of Britain. Our Twin Peaks!
  16. "If someone steals money from a bank they are stealing from the bank, not from you." err...unless it's being stolen out of your account. If spotted the bank will usually refund, but I know people who've been stitched up good and proper, and my own experience of being cloned, it took 6 months to get that 500 quid back!
  17. I eat pretty sensibly for the most part, but am off the booze for January. Found it hard at a dinner followed by pub on saturday with everyone quaffing quality saffa wines brought back from various honemoons and christmas family trips, but have stayed strong and am feeling better for it. Apart from a bout of glandular fever at uni, I'm reckoning 7 days is the longest i've gone without so much as a sip since about 1991!! Am loving not having the hangover, but the detoxing is leaving me irritable and tired. Right, another green tea....
  18. interesting article from Rolling Stone http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/17438347/how_america_lost_the_war_on_drugs
  19. I'm not sure any of that would appeal to Loiusa, Le Moulin's more her sort of thing. Now if there was a Gourmet Fondue Kitchen.....
  20. Everyone in the ED warehouse is nice. Mr books, Mr oystera, the mooing cheese people and the pretty one, I can't remember what she sells, but lovely smile.
  21. Not sure what this says about flickrites. Alcoholic train spotters who've snuffed it?
  22. Can you?! cool, that gives me something to do tonight. *as well as an informal telephone job interview .. woo hoo*
  23. most 'interesting', viewed, favourited, and commented Agree about it's definition of interesting though. Judging by the big flickr photos, its HDR cats, near a kid on a beach by a young lady with a small bikini playing with a dog catching a frisbee in mid-air. Sadly I haven't got any of them.
  24. Assuming anything posted here is geeky, then comparatively speaking, this is very cool.
  25. Good call Polly, top notch bacon sarnie, can cure any hangover; not that I suffer them anymore of course ;-P
