  1. hurrah!!! 1-1 at champion hill. terrible terrible football :(
  2. A little too optimistic there LG, we won't do them 3 times in a row!! Happy Bithday Simon, best of luck. I for one will be at the biggest game of the day, Dulwich Hamlets vs Cray Wanderers promotion spot clash!! Lets see if we can make it 6 league wins in a row.
  3. I've literally just bought that with some amazon vouchers and look forward to hearing it in the new year. Hurrah!
  4. Wise words Jah, wise words. It's more of a short-term clear out than a full wagon mounting. Getting on the pogo-stick if you will; it's guaranteed you'll only last so long before you tire and fall. Yes Sean, exactly that.
  5. Sooooo Album(s) of 2007? Some great stuff this year, Laura Viers, Kevin Drew, New Pornographers, Stars, Panda Bear, Animal Collective, Tiger Force, Silent League, Deerhoof, The Decemberists, Robert Plant/Alison Krauss, Fiery Furnaces, Taken by Trees, Feist...the list goes on. But boils down to one of Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha, Tinariwen - Aman Iman and Neko Case - Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. I don't want to choose, my instinct says Bird, my head says Tinariwen but I'll go with my heart which seems to belong to Ms Case. Hows about everyone else?
  6. I once stood behind a long-haired flouncing git in the queue in camden virigin, harping on about how the music he was playing was a little bit Manic Nirvana a little bit Physical Graffiti. I coughed *tosser* under my breath and as he turned around it was Robert Plant!! I immediately felt simultaneously starstruck and a bit of an idiot...but he is a bit of a flouncing git isn't he.
  7. Hurrah, 15 minutes left. Anyone for a swifty at the canning on the way home?
  8. PGC gets it, your turn.
  9. Happy new year one and all. Resolutions? 1. No drink January. 2. Get a more interesting job. err...that's about it, I don't think getting married counts as a resolution as such does it.
  10. Look beyond to the turbulent waters PGC. (should this be on the medium thread?)
  11. Funny you should mention that, but that wasn't what I was looking at. *turns and pulls another paper off the roll*
  12. But it was emotionally satisfying wasn't it Onion (I 'Onion' works better than 'Floater'). MadWorld, I spy with my little eye something beginning with 'L' ;-)

  15. The Carver and Herc sequences have been inspired so far in Series 3. The Shaft sequence and the whole Steve McQueen thing. Genius!!
  16. Hmm thanks Jah, I'll remember to put the tags next time.
  17. The thing is the Taliban were basically created by the ISI (Pakistan's MI5) as a tool for getting rid of their (and the CIA's) previous fella in Afghanistan, Gulbaddin Hekmatyar, who unfortunately had a penchant for killing anyone and everyone. So their influence with the Taliban should not be underestimated, and using them to bump off a mutual enemy should not be discounted either. All really rather depressing and the future is worryingly uncertain. Thank god it's not a nuclear armed country......doh!!
  18. Yeah, way back was actually hassle free...after the journey out from hell. You haven't lived unless you've driven through country roads in a car strapped to the back of a farmer's trailer at 3 in the morning!!
  19. Received series 3 for crimbo and kicked off on episodes 1 & 2 last night. Good stuff, back to the characters we know and love (or hate, or have moral issues with) some good moments so far "woof".
  20. *bob* adventure game, now we're talking!!! Moira Stewart, dodgy bbc graphics, Brian Cant. God I even played this
  21. The Nunhead Paradox Starring: Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Osborne Stewart, Meryl Streep and Minnie Driver. And, er, Ernest Borgnine.
  22. Mesolithic dulwich, set up a flintwank shop.
  23. Noooo don't go back and see jesus....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPCHN0ZQl2Y
  24. cookwank was great, I also liked this one : Spiky-haired fucksticks - Foxtons Estate Agents
  25. echo many of the above, for arctic circle last year I found that good socks, long johns, silk inners and a merino base layer were essential, get a medium fleece over the base layer and just make sure anything above is rugged really. Howies do some good merino stuff too, cardigan bay's third biggest clothing company, as their byline goes...well...you've got to have ambition!. http://www.howies.co.uk/section.php/16/0
