  2. These guys played with that other irish band friends of mine, and he put me on to them. (hmm that sentence needs proofing) I hope they get signed, talented bunch and great voice Fight Like Apes - Lend Me Your Face

  4. Aaaaahhh, the enemy!! General all round IT geek.
  5. I did indeed Jah Lush/TT. I always thought Tierra Y Libertad was An Homage To An Homage To Catalonia. Also noticed the room was a just a little bit dusty during the Internacional at granddad's funeral.
  6. Reading Soldiers of Salamis by Javier Cercas at the moment. Good stuff. The Spanish Civil War is one of those scabs I can't stop picking it. See also Tierra Y Libertad, Pan's Labyrinth, Belle Epoque, For Whom the Bell Tolls (rubbish btw).....
  7. Sean, does that mean we're NRWAHAWSBWFW (not really working as hard as we should be from work)?
  8. I dunno, I've been doing that to mine for years and had loads of fun doing it.
  9. * hooks up wii and bowling to 100inch screen in far corner of quiet room so as not to disturb those in duvets * * doh split *
  10. As it goes I passed four squad cars packed to the rafters with battle gear clad rozzas in the Fox on the Hill car park (its my shortcut) at about half six. Four of them were standing about scratching their heads and studying a large A to Z and looked totally bewildered. I'm guessing it took them a further 9 hours to track down darrell road. Maybe the Hackney branch of SO10 were the only ones available and they don't often venture south of the Thames.
  11. I'm can't see how maintaining a high profile in the press can possibly help matters concerning the investigation, which surely is the only real thing of import here. Finding the girl and putting away whoever abducted her. Whether read about it on the front pages, or whether we find out about every nuance of the accuseds' lives in a trial by press is neither here nor there and, frankly, a little disturbing. I appreciate many of you with kids can empathise and are genuine in your thoughts and prayers, but it's none of our business ultimately. We don't know these people and we never will. Sorry, I'll back off again.
  12. Yes, I won't even touch goat unless I can guarantee it had its self esteem steadily eroded by taunts questioning it's masculinity.
  13. * floats into room on a soft breeze, manages a quick friday feeling click of the heels before touching down a la mary poppins * * offers sean a crisp golden pint of kingfisher lager, pours a mug of irish whiskey ale for self *
  14. I thought your presence may help reverse the trend, but i think weeing in the wind reggie ;)
  15. looking back , you could well be right
  16. Ooh, i graduated in 94 too. more spooky. I had a great time don't have too many friends left from there, about 5 of whom I'm still very close to today, but most old friends are still from where I grew up. I've actually been giving alot of thought to doing a second history degree at some point, as I too feel I had no appreciation of the opportunity that all that time gives you. I don't really regret spending 90% of it in the pub and at least 1% tripping in sainsbury's. my loan went on Sainsbury's sterling lager 2.6% proof and 9p a can!!!
  17. spooky *bob*, loans were phased in during my second year, while I was at uni because it was always assumed, not because I had the foggiest idea of what I wanted to do....hence....history!!
  18. * looks admiringly at Keef's self sacrifice, what a gent ;) *
