  1. Yes, sorry I must have a bit of snappyness left over from yesterday's foul mood. Echoing Sean's offer, you really should come along Louisa, it'd be great to finally meet you, err, not that I can make the next one. The one after that is a cert though. I'll behave myself in future regards 'kafkaesque', so amissian of me ;-P
  2. * starts playing in sandpit, ooh look a seashell *
  3. Cheers Keef and Sean, and thanks a million DM for having me in mind. A real honour, and well done again!!
  4. I seem to recalll Hornby saying something about running of the terraces being basically standard practice in English football grounds back in the late 70s and early 80s, week in week out in alot of grounds. But doing that at a mostly middle class foreign football crowd was never going to do anything other than cause unbridled panic. I'm aware that there was a nasty contingent among the eyeties, but Liverpool supporters have to hold their hands up on that one. Yes you just can't know a wall will colla[se, hence it was a tragedy, but that can't mitigate blame.
  5. *nudges citizen knowingly, stares pointedly -ahem- -ahem- nice pic eh?*
  6. If you've any photos of Archie you might like to add them here too Ann. Best of luck in finding your lost one.
  7. James, this forum can get Kafkaesque at times, 'tis true. I would say there's a reason why old style pubs are getting taken over or made over. It's because they don't make any money because noone goes to them. It's change or die like any other business.

  18. I thought we worked out that prams in the 'olden days' were double the size of your modern ones, or is the whole argument so tired and hackenyed that we've all thrown ourselves out of the nearest window at the thought of dredging it up *again*

  21. Snorky, that statue is the highlight of my day. I point it out every time I'm on that train with someone else, and if they miss it they all think I'm insane. I was at Finland station last november, and I'm sad to say I either missed it or it's gone :(. Maybe it's not a replica?!?! Yes yes yes, lets rescue it from it's lopsided home propped up on someone's balcony. Sod tooting, East Dulwich popular Front
  22. There's a great review of the two 'documentaries' in today's Private Eye. Well worth a read. I'll try and get get missus mockney on board, she can kill this argument dead with a stare. Not an argument mind, just a cold, hard, paddingtonesque stare.
  23. Well, my grandma was bosch AND I'm a Gemini. Do i win?
  24. Badam tish. That's hilarious, I don't know whether it's foolish or genius. Something on those lines would be great though.
