  1. Not at all. He registered to post about how nice the Vale is. Perhaps we'll see him out at a forum drinks to discuss other topics of interest?
  2. 3G card won't really cut it for XBox Live. Tried it briefly, latency sucks. I've recently got Sky at ?10 per month for the unlimited (on top of TV costs) & am happy with it. Speeds are a bit slower than I'd like, but that's down to my BT line. Most of the broadband providers will tell you what speed BT rates your line if you plug your number into their website. I haven't done enough throrough XBox testing with Sky yet, but hope to work on that. No problems yet. Lady Onion got O2 just the other week for ?7.50 (on top of O2 phone). Works well & is faster than it's supposed to be. She's also just down the road from the exchange. As for gaming, when are we going to get an ED game together?

Well if the YOT is moving to East Dulwich Road as Alicia stated, then they'll just be a few doors down from me. I certainly know who I would rather have in the neighbourhood. It would be the people who are trying to improve society as a whole, not just their secluded (deluded?) corner.
  4. Ok... so Alicia registered at 13:49, started this thread at 13:52 & her only other post is in this thread? Right. Back to lost cats being stolen by Cafe Nero or whatever...
  5. Another good night. A pleasure to meet all the new faces & not so new faces I forgot from other times! Much friendlier than the Dog, though that's not difficult. Headed on to the Gowlett which was good fun & finished me off. Lady Onion was sensible & headed off so is rather more awake than I am today.
  6. Not been here a year yet. No muggings yet. Only problem I've had was some tipsy idiot on the bus who wanted to take a vodka bottle upside my head. The way some of my coworkers talk you would think that south of the river is like something out of Mad Max. They seem to think I should be getting mugged on a weekly basis!
  7. You mean the lazy buggers who waste time posting on internet sites all day?
  8. No idea, but hopefully they'll be more pleasant about getting rid of us than the Dog!
  9. Didn't feel a thing. Only found out by seeing it on the news at work.
  10. I've been gone far too long & I missed you guys. Anyways, I think Mike has the right idea there!
  11. I didn't realise I was away. Just not quite all there. Anyways, I'm starting to get slightly concerned about Mr. P's, uh, preferences.
  12. I like the idea though. Argue both sides so we can all be friends & get to the pub sooner!
  13. I'm with annaj on this one. I like it that people can come on here & promote their band/pub/shop/cat/whatever, but I can't stand people being dishonest about it. If you got a band tell us when you're playing in the "What's On" area. Don't try to pull the wool over our eyes.
  14. Air conditioning has been broken all day. Office is still like a sauna.
  15. I am, but the last while has been manic. Possibly next week...
  16. One of these weeks I'll make it. My sister is in town. Will there be any spaces next week?
  17. Thanks Mockney. (6) Anyways... Having grown up in a tourist destination just off the US we got all manner of American tourists. Lots of sterotypical loud ones, but plenty of quiet, respectful ones as well. Unfortunately people only remember the loud, obnoxious ones.

I don't read the forum for a few days & the Aussie ends up defending me! ;-)
  19. I'd assumed it was off because there hadn't been any posts. Oops! Should have posted yesterday afternoon when I checked.
  20. There's something a bit funny going on. I can post at home, but not at Black Cherry (403, forbidden). But works fine via work. Bizarre.
  21. Nobody needs to bail out! I can always come along next week. Though that might depend on the curry club.
  22. I'm interested if there are enough courts. Did anybody manage to book another one?
  23. Should be wandering down that way for 8 ish.
  24. Even better than just gravy on chips, poutine! Great when you stagger out of the pub at 3 am. Damn. Now I'm hungry.
  25. He's a cop actually. I quite like this catch. That was a fun day in the pub! No idea about his dancing abilities though.
