Not just the MS stuff either. The 360 pulls mp3s & photos off my computers nicely. Now that it supports more video formats I can play everything through it (hopefully). Hide a bunch of hard disks in the loft & stream everything over the network.

Thank Sean! I hadn't realised you could sign up without using the console. Got the nick (though I'd be surprised to see it used). Online will be the way to go.

As for blu-ray, I can't be bothered with an HD player either way until they've finished with they're pissing contest. Though upscaling is good.

Well seeing as Santa's little helper reads the forum I've now got an xbox 360. Quite impressed with it. Took me a while to get use to the controller (I'm a PC gamer), but definitely getting the hang of it. The capabilities of both platforms from a user stand point seem pretty similar. Once I get the latest update on the xbox it should be quite a decent media center. They'll now play DivX.

That's ok. I like curry. Quite gutted I missed the last one. That & Kalamity is nowhere near yet!

Grrr. Airports. Going to Atlanta last year I was x-rayed, frisked, shoes x-rayed, frisked & bags searched at the gate, and then bags & shoes x-rayed getting off the plane! The whole liquids & sharp objects (razors!) make it a real pain if your travelling anywhere for just a night or two. Then there's the one piece of carry on which depends on airport, airline, country & phase of the moon! Always handy if you're doing an overnight trip with a laptop. I'll stop ranting now. I've really had enough of current airport security!! (6)
