Last night was the first time that I had been in the bar bit. The service was ok, but there was some cutlery forgotten & such. Nothing major & they were pleasant the whole time. We didn't try asking for recommendations, just sort of dove in!
Ardbeg is very good. The most peaty malt I've had was at a Bruichladdich tasting where they had one at something like 300 ppm. It took your head right off! I don't think they ever released it for sale, they were just trying it out. You either loved it or hated it.
Unfortunately happens with all the time. If it doesn't affect people, they don't hear about it. The only reason it get's so much coverage in the States is because hurricanes are such big news after Katrina & it might make landfall there. The US media didn't have much about Gonu. Whenever the storms would bounce off of Florida & head into the Atlantic they report on them heading out harmlessly into the ocean & that everyone was safe. Except for the poor little island right in it's path!!

Yikes. Text messages, forum, facebook, it's all too confusing! I'm becoming convinced that "Scrabble Club" is some kind of code word fro "drink all the beer in the Drum"
Well the Americans do like to lead by example, definitely do what I say: http://www.psychsound.com/2007/10/a_tale_of_two_decisions_or_how.html Not what I do. Or is that guilty until proven innocent? (and no, I'm not American)
I am rather biased. Not available in ED, but lovely stuff. I have wondered if I could convince Black Cherry to carry the black or gold. The old is too pricey for a cocktail, but you wouldn't want to spoil it with a mixer anyway. What a rum!! :)-D
Very neat. While touch interfaces have been fun gimmicks, proper multi touch interfaces open up so many new possibilities. It will be quite interesting to see where these go over the next couple of years.
The AllyCat was going to try the lion poo in her garden. There's a rather persistant cat in the neighbourhood who has taken quite a liking to her front flower beds! Nothing else has worked yet. I do like cats, but this one is a bit ridiculous.
