  1. Alarms are temperamental and I know mine has been off a few times. My first reaction is never ?OMG there?s an undesirable in my house? but always ?OMG what about next door?. But my next door neighbour is a honey and never complains! Alarms just deter a burglar into going to a house without an alarm because, let?s face it, we all want an easy life.

    Great Gigs

NOT my cup of tea (big time), but I just wanted to flag-up to people that COLDPLAY are playing at O2 in December and that tickets are on sale from the usual outlets this Friday from 9.30am. I don't think there will be a presale but if I hear of one I will post it here. It's beyone me why they are so popular but there you go.
  3. Ride a White Horse - T-Rex
  4. I could flounce for Britain. Really, I could. I'm so good at it. I can flounce from a room leaving a sting behind me and the echo of a high heel high tailing-it. Haven't quite worked out how to do it in print though. So I don't expect I'll be creating any drama on the Forum any time soon.
  5. I vote we pull together a posse and take ourselves off to the IWM with our i-Pods? They'll never take us alive.
  6. The Song Remains the Same - Led Zeppelin
  7. Seriously, would you pick this guy up? http://i31.tinypic.com/29ftobm.jpg

    a joke

More Popbitch here; made me laugh http://la.racked.com/archives/2008/05/19/sellebrity_madge_vadge_of_honor.php
  9. Are you absolutely sure it wasn't a very small cat?
  10. The Sawyer guy is really hot. Is that any more helpful for you?
  11. George Clooney on one side and Dave Grohl on the other. I would hang with Dave; listen to CDs and chew the fat, and as for George, do I need to spell it out?
  12. I'm afraid of Americans - David Bowie
  13. The Pixies - I'd forgotten how good they are. I saw them at Brixton a few years ago and bought a CD of the gig on the night (recorded straight from the desk). Anyway, I lost the CD (alcohol was involved) until YESTERDAY! So pretty much listening to the Pixies at Brixton exclusively at the moment.
  14. Reading this thread I think what has become clearer and clearer is that it really is horses for courses. ESPA suits me; it's clean, it's quiet, it's friendly and well supervised; it doesn't play house music and it has nice soap (I'm a real girl). I try to go for an hour 4 times a week; I just arrive, plug myself into my i-Pod (Nirvana or the Stones) and get on with my programme. What's not to like (for me)?
  15. Harvest Moon - Neil Young
  16. For You Blue - George Harrison
  17. Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again - Bob Dylan
  18. Calm down boys - there's a whiff of testosterone
  19. Nothing wrong with ESPA. A gym should not be "one size fits all". You get what you pay for and ESPA has a lot of happy members.
  20. What's the use of getting sober (when you're gonna get drunk again) - Joe Jackson
  21. I thought I was hearing "the voices"
  22. Snorky, will there be a forum discount?

The big agency rip-off; booking fees and delivery costs Ticketmaster - charges you ?2.50 to print off your tickets at home using your electricity, your printer and your paper Seetickets - charges you ?4.60 for special delivery but if they forget to send them to you or leave it too late to send them out (and this happens a lot), they make you collect the tickets from the box office but keep your ?4.60 special delivery money Stargreen - if you pop into their shop before your tickets are dispatched and pick them up in person, they refund your delivery costs - BLESS THEM
